Long ago foolish missionaries attempted to bring their faith to the people of the Northern Wastes. Not surprisingly their words fell on deaf ears, but their monastic ways found purchase in one small corner. It did not take long for the brutish and aggressive traits of the local tribes and the infighting of the monks to open the door for the taint of Chaos to creep in.

The monks would brawl in the courtyard to stay strong and settle disputes, and found that the spilling of blood would make them feel closer to god. They would take in new acolytes from the slaves of the local tribes. Most of these would end up dying as the brawls became more frequent and more violent, but the strongest would join the order.

Over time as the monks became more crazed, they found their bodies would warp and change to aid their violent ways, and the gifts of Khorne drove them to roam out from their monastery to fight further afield.

Blood Bowl was a perfect outlet for their desires. Allowing them a consistent slew of opponents to try and kill, maim, and injure.
