In a strange award ceremony, the Lamburly Shield was awarded to the Crays through a bizarre succession plan. The Crays were holders of the shield at the start of Season 22.

Shield Defence:
Game One: Morg inspired 1-1 draw with the huge Woodies.
Game Two: Scraped a 1-0 victory against some wily Snots.
Game Three: 0-2 loss against the Freezy Trees

The Great Collapse: Funding for the Crays team disappeared when a severe case of food poisoning was linked to a crayfish from the region. The team was disbanded. Three people died and several more were hospitalised. Exports of sea food from the area nose dived. This was later discovered to be foul play from members of the Singed Poor Scoundrels, and people began to purchase from the region again allowing a new team to bought.

The team had not had a match for a long time. Forrest and John had faded back into a forest, becoming just normal trees again. The Halflings went back to fishing, dreams of playing drifting away. All seemed lost, until an old associate gave Coach Wozzaa a call. He had an opportunity to get the gang together and hit the field once more. This time in the Deserted Isles, against teams much bigger.

In Season 74, The North Cape Crays were directly involved in 63 casualties. They caused 23 casualties, and received 40 (the most by any team in the history of SWL). Forest Bark managed to cause 11 casualties.

*** Did you know...

During a game versus Yaphet Koto, the Crays managed to remove every opposition player from the pitch. All of the Yaphet Koto team were injured except one player, including 7 to badly hurt to play, 1 serious injury and 3 deaths. A further death was prevented by the elves very busy medical staff.
