| After just a few seasons in the SWL League the once mighty and highly dangerous Blackmountain United team has decided to see out it's days playing tour matches and guest appearances out in the fringe. Whilst never quite making it to the premier leagues, the BMU will be fondly remembered for the devestation and carnage they caused in both the Regional and Conference leagues whilst they were there. Now they enjoy the time boasting about their wins, lamenting their losses and picking on those unfortunate suck.... errrrr..... worthy teams in the fringe league who'd like to have a crack at one of the teams that left the league still in one piece and on their own terms. Long live Blackmountain United! <i>You're goin' 'ome in the back of a snotty pump wagon! Urrrrah! Urrrrah! (common BMU crowd chant)</i> 25th June 2007 - Well all good things come to an end and it's time we now say goodbye to the lads of BMU. They ran well but since retiring to the outer fringe their reputation has preceeded them and they no longer get the challenges that they once did. The Dwarfs are long held as the tough sons of bitchs of the Old World on the pitch and the lads get less and less in appearance fees whilst their costs stay the same. The lads have decided to retire back to the mines of Blackmountain, having enjoyed a short, but wonderful career in the Southern Wastes. Well done lads, you've made this old coach proud! |
