Valknut is the "Knot of the Slain" used on the grave marker's of heroes and to symbolise the fundamentally interlinked relationship between past, present and future.

One triangle is chain-linked to two other triangle's and vice versa.

The slain are never forgotten, the living are never forsaken, the knot cannot be broken.
