The elf only needed to make a basic dodge using his skill, but managed to fall over and fracture his hand, leaving him with a nasty niggle. The apothecary came on to try and fix the break, but it seems he had left his medi-kit back in the dugout as he failed to patch up the lion warrior. The elf was promptly retired.

In the very next game, the second number 12, also coincidentally called <a href="http://www.fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=7034390">Anudebl Fairwing</a>, scored two touchdowns during his debut <a href="http://www.fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=2789974">match</a> against the <a href="http://www.fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=522270">Queen's Park Robbers</a>. He wanted to be like his namesake, the first Anudebl Fairwing, but it seems the elf had somehow sneaked illeagally into the team draft under the noses of the assesors, as he was discovered to be too old immediately after his first game when his agility was tested and found to be no better than a human. The elf was promptly retired.

The third number 12, <a href="http://www.fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=7035708">Rutitd Jadearrow</a>, was crowd-surfed during a <a href="http://www.fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=2794359">match</a> against the human team <a href="http://www.fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=583028">Zecas</a>. The crowd were obviously in a pretty bad mood that day, as as well as causing Rutid a niggling injury which led to him being retired, they also threw a rock which outright killed <a href="http://www.fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=7040971">Zeca Henriques</a>.

Coach Smyth announced in the post-match press conference that the no.12 shirt would be officially retired in honour of those who had worn it. More experienced commentators, knowing what superstitious types Bloodbowl coaches are, rightly guessed that Smyth had developed a raving paranioa about putting expensive elves in a number that seemed to be cursed, and had actually buried the shirt on the line of scrimmage at the Raiders' home ground in an effort to lift whatever evil magic was plaguing it.</div></TD>
