The Yamako Tribe isn't really a tribe at all. It's a disparate collection of amazons gathered from all corners of the Empire, and beyond. The "tribe" concept is more a matter of image. Sounds good for the fans. Exotic.

It all started with a down-on-his-luck Bloodbowl Coach, Bryce McTavish. After a disastrous stint in charge of a hopelessly inept Dwarf team, coach Bryce found himself out of work. No one wanted the washed-up oldbeard anywhere near their players.

Some weeks passed. One late evening in a dingy Altdorf tavern, Bryce McTavish reflected on his failed career through the dirty foam on a tankard of ale. His sixth... or so.

But it was in that very tavern his luck would turn around. Through misty eyes, the Dwarf coach laid eyes on a true Amazon. Six feet tall, bronzed skin, arms of steel, face of a bulldog. Stories abounded of jungle women from Lustria, but the reality was even more striking.

Bryce McTavish was inspired.
