For years, the Clan Makavalian hid in the sewers, content with nibbling at the roots of the great city they called home.
Then, one day, a change came over the Makavalians. A desire grew within them, a desire to sate their appetites on something other than sewage...some thing that had a glow, and a sheen, and a power like no other.
Gaining sentience rapidly, the newly assembled clan looked for ways to gain this substance they had dreamed of for so long. As luck (or perhaps misfortune) would have it, a copy of a local newspaper, still readable through the stains and bite marks, detailed a great game in the World Above, a game called Blood Bowl.
A strange object was shown, and many were the stories of "great plays" and "stunning tackles". A great cup of some material unknown to the Clan was given to the winners of a match, it seemed - and to the Makavalians, it seemed as though this cup held the substance they desired.

From there, the plans to join in this "Blood Bowl" were formed, and here the team is. Fresh to the league, with no real comprehension of how to play the game, let alone survive in the World Above, the fans need only know the teams great and screeching cheer:
