An early foreign explorer of the Lark Islands described Mt. Ari and the smaller mountains around it as "A huge pile of metals, with a thin layer of stone on the outside."

The statement was, perhaps, an exaggeration, but there is little evidence against it in the dwarven kingdom of the area. The dwarves of Mt. Ari are known as premier armor-makers, weaponsmiths, tool makers, jewelers and so forth in all of the Lark Islands. If it is a skill with metal, they participate in it, and consider themselves masters of it.

It is only recently that their guild leaders have decided to spend some of their wealth, and give their wares some advertisement in the process by forming a bloodbowl team called, of course, the Metalworkers.
