Bechafen Manticores come from the capital of the Empire's province Ostermark. The team is owned by Hanns Hertwig, not well known nephew of the Elector Count of Ostermark, Wolfram Hertwig.

There are rumours that claim that Wolfram Hertwig aided financially Hanns Hertwig in seting up the team for Bechafen. Motive beheind Wolfram's secret support may have been his envy towards Averheims (capital of the Empire's province Averland) finest team, Averheim Rangers.

Manticores fans had really high hopes for Heintz Pflawm, the first cathcer of Bechafen Manticores but sadly Pflawm failed to fulfil them in his debute match miserably. It took him three attempts (one with team RR) to pick up the ball (greased by snotlings in the half time) before he finally managed to get it up.
