As proprietor and owner of The Claymor Memorial Asylum, John H. Bedlam was a natural choice to coach The Claymor Cup's founding team. Funded by funeral right funds and the pensions of deceased players John started a team comprised mostly of inmates deemed too dangerous for polite society, along with the few drifters slow enough for him to catch.

Almost immediately he was stabbed to death, trampled and pissed on by said team, who is now under new management.

The Claymor Cuddly Bears are a dangerously happy team that never fouls, never throws illegal blocks, and would certainly never threaten members of the media with disembowelment and dismemberment. A merry bunch of misfits, they dream of the day that they might take home the Claymor Cup and release any hostages they-I MEAN THEY'RE A HAPPY GO LUCKY UNDERDOG TEAM THAT IS A TREAT TO WATCH FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS ALIKE.
