Known as the Gisoreaux Iron Harts in seasons past, the Gyrfalcons were forced to rebrand and start fresh when most of their funding was paid to the Nuln Iron Hearts in a brutal copyright lawsuit. They were saved from their imminent destruction when big-name fan, Baron Monteguilt the Traveler, stepped in to buy the team afterward. Holes in the roster were then filled out with promising rookies from across the Old World (including one or two Albion League players).

While most teams from Bretonnia extol the virtues of chivalry and fair play, the Gyrfalcons seem to take pride in subverting that reputation, breaking out underhanded tactics and questionable maneuvers when it suits them (It's not against the rules if the ref doesn't call foul!). This play style earns them a fierce rivalry with the Mousillon Blackguard for the title of "most misanthropic team in Bretonnia".
