Welcome to the Skjaldberg team page! Why is this team sporting red uniforms passing and fouling so much? If you are here you'll want to find out! The new management had very different views from the previous one and with changing coach also much of the team was changed. This involved a truly remarkable trade session before going into draft 8 that completely changed the team and their goals. Is this change good? Will it work? Stay tuned...but remember, one thing is for certain...the team didn't earn it's nickname "Blood Red Murder Squad" for nothing...it was earned with the previous management...but the boot lives on! This is the Cards current lineup: G1S9: We scored 3 TDs vs the Thunderbolts, dishing out some important damage while suffering some ourselves...need to figure out the way to go from here! G2S9: A tie vs the bandits with again much pain inflicted. The coach is not satisfied with the gameplay...we'll ponder and improve! G3S9: we tied...due to a lucky ogre play...need to keep it together the last turns. Other than that we can improve but are satisfied of our game so far. G4S9: MrHill decides to show all the limits of his Ag5 and makes us loose the game. But it was a good game anyway, although we suffered some injuries that'll make the next one a bit harsher...ah well, the game! G5S9: Slow game vs Buccs...went as expected all in all, but we were really unfocused. G6S9: Lost to Foxes due to a blitz first kickoff. We dished out some damage and recieved some too...ah, greedy fouls! G7S9: Lost to Unicorns since we preferred to protect rather than press. Good players develop too! G8S9: Tied Universe. They wouldn't let us score quick and nearly bogged us down for good, but Arion finally did something noteworthy. Then we hit and fouled a bit and it all went fairly well. G9S9: Again a tie...wild game vs Avalanche though...couple of wild plays and blitzes and throw ins and failed some other key plays...ah well, all good! G10S9: A tie against the 49ers is pretty welcome. Scored our TDs, made our plays, protected our players...more or less as there was little we could do against Leo who was hulk-like! G11S9: Another tie. The Scimitars won't let us score...so we had to work to get the ball in the endzone...and then nuffle gave both teams their 1s so neither scored. Hehe! G12S9: A good blitz let the unicorns have two offensive drives, and we just weren't in the mood for a solid defence. We were lucky to escape unscathed too... G13S9: Good game vs Razorbacks. We score quickly and proceed to not risk too much in defence after Karl bh himself on a dubskull. All good in the end even if Arion's pass last ditch pass get intercepted! There's no G14 for us. We just can't see how it's fun currently with the league setup. Building has been fun, but ultimately I dread next season, or the first important perm or the next draft. It's just not worth it with the current domitaing teams and rules. Season is a slog to play for me, maybe I could compete in next season a bit but no hopes of going all the way since it turns out I'm simply not that good at it at all. post season G1S8: New coach, completely new team, first game. We tied the Gunners with some wacky defensive plays on our part. Jack gets hit by a rock and will never be the same again. Damn! G2S8: We were steamrolled by the Scimitars but started to understand how to boot at least. G3S8: Sharks...hehe...we fouled away and managed to tie...but the big part was fouling left and right...and centre. G4S8: This felt like and impossible game against a very strong team, but fouling work wonders and we nearly tied the White Wolves, not that we wanted to, but still. G5S8: A tie against the Foxes with a OTTD by our fast fast runner...lucked it out though throughout the game. G6S8: Again, far better team, far better coach. We still fouled the Unicorns hard and it did pay off somewhat. G7S8: Knight got the boot too and as most games went, this was the most significant thing to say. Julen continues to get better though. G8S8: Guess this is the DLE record? Universe was merciless while we booted away and failed pickups and other actions. The outcome a whopping 5-0. G9S8: We...won a game. Was a mistake but since we could at least give the fans this little cherry other than the usual boots and vanity passes, we took the opportunity. G10S8: Well, we reached our objective and skilled the new recruit and Julen too by chance. It was...well, only about that and some random fouls, the rest was...let's just be happy the apo saved Anxo from death! G11S8: We actually tried to play vs the Classics...but the outcome was unfavourable anyway. Good thing our apo continues to save players from death: this time our ogre Schwarz is happy! G12S8: Unicorns again...lost again, but skilled Jones, and put in the biggest foul kill to date: unicorn all time greatest ogre is gone. Fans and coaches mourn the loss. G13S8: We loose to the Pats 5-4, with Zack running in 4 times to score. Strange game, fouling was ineffective but plentiful. Jose got hit hard thanks to a blunder from the coach, sorry. G14S8: Good game against Universe, was strangely close to a tie, maybe. Unfortunately catcher Jay Black left us for good this time, while Jose watches from the stands and claps at each foul. G15S8: well, we skilled our defensive thrower and grabbed some more SPPs along the way while fouling and passing...on to the last game of the season!! G16S8: well, we skilled our jump up blitzer and grabbed some more SPPs...oops, just like last game! Draft...here we come! Well, it was a tanking/building season for us. After we inherited the team we decided to make big changes and invest in the future. Many players were moved, draft picks too...loads of trades and all. We concentrated on certain players to improve, went for a foul lots and protect stile of play. It worked as expected, although we might not have the first overall pick we are there in the top 3. And now draft and trades...let's see how it goes and if we can meet our goals.
