Here we go again. This time Barbie didn’t wake up with thoughts of death, but rather she woke up with thoughts of … murder. And the result of this new violently aggressive existential crisis wasn’t flat feet and cellulite. It was tiny hands curled into fists, and a pink Chanel mini dress turned into armor. This could only mean one thing. Barbie’s playing blood bowl. Rather than having to go to the “real” world, Barbie has had to go to the world of murder and mayhem that is fantasy football. So she’s gathered all of her friends, they’ve all gotten decked out in pink armor, and it’s time to see if they can win enough games to restore Barbie Land to back to being a pink, peaceful, perfect paradise with tiny delicate hands instead of fists and gingham Prada ensembles instead of steel spiked shoulder pads. Or who knows? Maybe they’ll win enough games to find that they don’t ever want to go back—that the true paradise lies on the blood covered pitch (just as long as the grass is pink).
