Banished from Donkey Kong Island, after being legally declared "just the worst", the Disgraceful Kongs were forced to support themselves by forming a blood bowl team. Initially staying with Kentucky Kong in Monkey's Eyebrow, Kentucky, the team eventually decided to relocate, after coming to the conclusion that not even a team as loathsome as themselves deserved to live in Kentucky. They packed up and headed west, not knowing how far they would travel or what miraculous new home they may find. Approximately 30 minutes of driving later, after having just crossed the Ohio river, the Kong's decided they were tired, and the decision to settle down in the barely-better-than-Kentucky city of Cairo, Illinois was made.

Much to the chagrin of Cairo city officials, the team constructed their new arena, The Monkey Pit, by digging an enormous gravel pit in the center of town and carpeting the bottom with leaves, banana peels, and other rotting pieces of compost. The city of Cairo thrums with the screeches of a thousand drunk gibbons every time they play.
