| The Curse of the Commandos No one is exactly sure why, but ever since their inception the Cobra Commandos have led a cursed existence in the league. They were fortunate enough to start their season with an apothecary, whom is rumored to be on the path to The Most Overworked Support Staffer title as his skills have been required every match thus far in the team's career. Even for stunties, these players like to get hurt a lot! The saurii have been fortunate thus far in surviving their trips to the pitch, but the skink half of the team seems to be sorely lacking in talent. From an early skink losing strength and disappearing into retirement, to another skink dying the very next game, to the apo saving yet ANOTHER skink from dying only to have the newly-recruited Kroxigor die in only his second match: and on Turn 7 of the 2nd Half no less! The team then had one of their saurii develop a crack in his shell after taking a brutal hit, weakening his armor permanently. Yes, these Commandos appear to lead a cursed life. The only question remains, will the curse ever be lifted or will the team continue to battle these same hardships? |
