Devonshire Ribbonmen

In the distant reaches of the Empire there is a group of men who refuse to bow under the yoke. They were similar, yet so different from their conquerors. Only because of a few dogmatic diffrences in their worship of Sigmar, as well as their low-class farming economy they are seen as 2nd class citizens. Still they fight, either openly revolting, fighting guerilla wars, or general acts of anti-government mayhem called Ribbonism.

The Electors who ruled the land and the Emperor hated the men of Devonshire with a passion and they spit it right back at them. For their crimes the men of Devonshire were sent far away, to Araby, to Cathay to work for Imperial company plantations. Others were jailed for prolonged periods of time, and many were simply killed.

Until one day the Elector had a wonderful idea, after watching a particularly vicious faction fight between 2 clans of Devonshire men he decided to create a BloodBowl team of them. They were generally violent and angry at their position in life, or so Elector Count James thought, and thus would make excellent BloodBowl players. It was done, and many men charged with less serious crimes would be sentanced to service on the BloodBowl team. Thus the Devonshire Ribbonmen were borne.

The Ribbonmen have gotten off to a rough start. Being a maniac who only wanted to see them dead, their coach sent them into battle against a bunch of Ogres. With their Minotaur they figured they were set. They charged into battle with glee and kicked an Ogre while he was down to send him off the field.

His goblin pals retaliated, they surrounded the Minatour Sinn Fein twice and the second pack attack took his life. Outnumbered and out gunned the Ribbonmen proved tenacious as they slid by a win with 2 TD's.
