<b>My Mission Statement:</b> I do not play to win at any cost, kill your players, destroy your team or foul as much as possible. I am not worried about my CR or W/L ratio. I play for fun and amusement. I will take opportunities given, but I will not throw a cheap foul just because.

<b>Note:</b> This credo does not apply quite as much to my Halflings. They need all the help they can get. I'm willing to have several Halflings thrown out of the game for fouling to get rid of a Star, Big Guy or the like. But I'll only do so if needed...

One day not so long ago the Hopshead Shire was a peacful and productive vale. This was shattered with the failure of a Dwarven dam high in the mountains. By the time the cascade reached Deblin, the wall of water was a towering 1.1 meters tall (huge to a Halfling). The flood scoured the Shire, destroying homes ripping off topsoil and devastating the population. The remaining foodstuffs were only sufficient for three meals a day, so the survivors were forced to flee incipient starvation. They moved en masse to the outskirts of the human town of Altboot and availed themselves of some 'extra' farmland.

Relations between the villages of New Hopshead and Altboot were stiff and strained for some time until retired human Coach Jebidiah Crookshank suggested a friendly game of Bloodbowl. Both villages took to the idea and formed teams. As niether side trusted their neighbors, each team invested some extra money into "hedging their bets". The results were a spectacular extravaganza of intoxication, lynched referees, excessive dirty fouls, two chainsaws, a wizard's duel and a flaming goat herd. Though hard on the players, the local populations loved the event and the "Boot to Head" Tournament became an annual event.

To combat the high attrition of the B2H Tourney, the Hopshead Halflings have founded several secondary teams that travel the world to gain experience. The survivors from each (if any) become the core for the vaunted Tournament team. One such team is the "Pad Yer Numbers". They were originally founded by banker and star player Yer "Over" Drafton. He found fame in the 23rd annual B2H where he single handedly killed an enemy Ogre and scored a touchdown at the same time. Critics note that the glory for this really should go to the Treeman that threw him into the Ogre in the first place.

The latest incarnation of the team is headed by Drafton's heir, the wealthy baker and banker "Doughboy" Baggit. Many feel that Baggit took to the pitch to combat the rumours surrounding him about a dark bond with a magic ring and a torrid love affair with his gardener. Whatever the reasons, Baggit seeks to make the PYN a team of note.
