Champions of Southern Wastelands League Div 1 in Season 2.

Despite being huge underdogs with easily the lowest team rating in the group, the Skinks scrambled to victory easily outpacing their foes to the line.

Season 3, came from the depths to challenge for the title and actually led for 2 rounds before a fateful final match against the chaingang. A dead saurus, -av, and a niggle on star saurus Ltrrsl sent the skinks plummeting to a relegation playoff where they were outlasted by khemri, going down in overtime due to a major player shortage.

In the Inaugural Gentlemen's Picnic, the beaten up skinks started with some trepidation, but grew in confidence to take the final against Sandune's Dwarves in a fairly solid 2-1 victory. Enforcer Slst retired after the match.

The skinks were removed from the second picnic by the Southside stone smashers who avenged their previous season final defeat.

Season 6 saw the skinks start off poorly getting done on the bell by high elves, pounded on by other lizards, and just run all over by humans before they got vengeance with an astounding 4-1 hammering of chaos dwarves. Another last minute loss to wood elves was followed by a quick concession by high elves and a pounding over norse as the skinks maintained their premier membership. Xies-ler-aym became the 4th slumbering skink to reach the magical 4ag mark following their final match of the season.

The third running of the cup saw a moderately difficult match with dwarves first up followed by a couple of easy games against amazons, but the skinks were bundled out in the quarter finals as they were done in OT again, this time by chaos dwarves after Qnchdooieoe failed his gfi to score in one turn.

The start of season 8 brings the skinks to their fiftieth swl match. The end of season 8 saw the skinks finish tied with the stonesmashers and warlizards on points, but put in third after the countback. In the middle, the usual injuries occured to the big lizards while the skinks continued to work miracles to stay in the hunt. In the twahnlow race for season 8, the top lizards Slilrl and Xies-ler-aym finished behind all other team forerunners with just 8 points, but the spread of 11 players gaining recognition was a league best. In other awards Srrts took out the Golden Glove (most intercepts) while Xies-ler-aym cemented star status with Golden Slipper, Ball, and Star.

SWL Star and hall of famer Thshltraeeay retired after season 10 following a dispute with management who wanted him to take a pay cut with the relegation from premier.

Season 11 saw the skinks bring their total to 82 games played. They started with two disappointing losses starting both matches with just 9 players. This was followed however by a strong rebound as they won the next five to take out the Corporate Fraudsters Conference League passing the early favourites KFC. We're going back to the show!

The celebration of a brilliant start to season 12 against some soft and fluffy orcs was suddenly called off when late in the game talented saurus Ssnln was carried off the pitch with a career ending injury. This disaster was followed by shocking displays against German Vermin, KFC, and a dreadful draw against a vastly outnumbered Vanguard of the Southern Ark. A resurgence against Bogan Yobs and Horrors Heroes around an expected pounding by Zen Adepts meant that the skinks just scraped into fourth place on a head to head count back. There was an individual award in the offering though as Xies-ler-aym was recognised for his masterful work in getting the skinks back on track with the golden twahnlow for the league's most valuable player.

Season 13's most fouled team with a whopping 20 fouls against in just 7 games. So close, so very close. 2 Losses from the last 3 games meant the skinks finished in second place. Despite topping the zen adepts, the price paid in injuries left the skinks undermanned and comfortably beaten by champions, Vanguard. Following that loss with another costly victory over wicked c dorfs meant there were just not enough lizards left for KFC in the final round resulting in a complete walkover and concession of the premiership.

Season 14 and a new record with 32 fouls against in 7 games. That's despite 0 fouls by the Zen Adepts in the last round after KFC destroyed us the previous week and the troll started with a first turn RIP (failed apoth) on Eyeuieelinsh. All told a somewhat disastrous season finishing in the relegation zone and losing Ghsrss and Kysht along the way. Hopefully Xies-ler-aym will be able to engineer another strong performance to return to the big time with his talented understudy Ckndtckaiouei.

A slow start in season 15 left the skinks trailing just a little too far behind the leaders. 2 losses were followed by 5 wins, but it wasn't enough to pip the top two, KFC and Echoes of the Great Song at the end. The team continued to build solidly though and look set for a good run at season 16.

A big run in season 16, shocking first up loss that left the skinks despondent but they came back in style hammering the rest of the competition both on the scoreboard and often the pitch as well for a 6 win, 1 loss tally. Conference champions over eternal rage on head to head after both teams finished with 6 wins. In addition the two rookie skinks who joined the club during the season both wanted to fit in with the stars and became progressively more agile. The only major losses to come from the season were Lphskeieyau niggling on aging and then a brutal last round encounter that left Lphskeieyau niggled a second time, and Lshkll minus some scales as the apoth was hurriedly patching up a saurus who stopped breathing for a minute. Back to premier and on with season 17!

Less said about season 18 the better, what was looking very promising stalled in the final match of season 17 and then took a nose dive as over a 3 game stretch the skinks took 8/8/3 cas with a crushing 26 fouls. The biggest loss no doubt the death of Ckndtckaiouei who had been hoped to back up Xies.

Season 19, all about Xies. The goal was to get xies to 100 games and push hard to legend. He aged a niggle at 126 spp and then was awarded his 100th cap despite a mystery virus meaning he couldn't take the field. A last round tie meant the skinks were able to maintain conference status at the expense of long time foes Zen Adepts.

Season 20, there was a harsh cull back to tr200 but room was found to keep Xies on and he did not disappoint. A slow start was difficult for the skinks but nothing was going to keep Xies quiet for a full season. He ran riot from the middle of the season easily reaching legendary status and once more holding the skinks in conference.

Start of season 21 sees the skinks take the field without Xies-ler-aym on the roster for the first time in many seasons and more than 3 years. It will be interesting to see if Choochoo can take over the dominant role xies held down and make it his own, this could be vital to the skink's chances during the coming season.

Season 26: SWL Premier Champions!

Season 29: SWL Premier Champions (the remake)!

Season 31: SWL Premier Sole Survivor (ok so two other teams finished ahead of us but they both redrafted - as did 4th - so we claim victory over them anyway)

Season 33: On top once again! SWL Premier Champions the Musical!

Pre Season 40 FFB Changeover:

The skinks were the sole remaining franchise from the once mighty Southern Wastes League as it attempted to rebuild after the terrible war that wracked the vast continent. Driven by the fans they appear unable to field a truly competitive lineup, will this prove true in the season to come? Will the fans stand by if they cannot win as often as they are accustomed to? A season of great upheaval and uncertainty is coming...

Season 40: Despite a reasonable showing on the pitch from the amateur lizards the fans did indeed show a high inclination to stop showing up for games. Still the hastily assembled lineup proved extremely resilient and put together a solid foundation to rebuild the club on while finishing with a respectable 2/3/2 season.

Season 41: The rebuliding continued unabated as the rookies became more experienced and started to show some skill. 4 wins and 3 draws later the team had made it through another season untouched and this time in first place in the conference. A remarkable resurgence for a team that had expected to spend several seasons to become truly competitive.

Season 42: The season the pain began. First up games against norse and chaos dwarves looked nasty but were successfully negotiated, before a fateful round 3 encounter with some elves. The softest looking opponent of the season (indeed of the entire careers for this group of players) was the first to mark a lizard and the first to inflict a loss in the new season. The damage was to become the recurring theme that had been anticipated since the club was reformed, fortunately the losses were not. Despite the falling lizards the wins kept coming as the skinks romped home with 4 on the trot and their first title of the new SWL.

SWL Champions once more!

Season 44: Starts with a victorious game 300 against former commissioner Clayinfinity and the Bedouin Falcons.

Season 45: First action of the season, a thrown rock kills 4 skill saurus Ktlld with the apoth failing to resuscitate him. Last action of the season, Lus-ler-cith strolls over for his second touchdown in a 2-0 victory against Psych Lab to secure the skinks 5th title.

Season... uhm... what were up to again? Someone help me out here? Oh right.
Season 57!: A long time between drinks but a thoroughly beaten and yet undefeated skink team takes their 6th title with a last round victory over Sotek Sacred Spawning. All other challengers fell by the way side with late season collapses while the Skinks erased memories of consecutive final round failures in seasons 55 and 56 to reign once more.

Season 58: Pipped at the siren for the 3rd time in 4 straight seasons with a round 7 draw against Grod's Technically Minded Dorfs giving them the title as the skinks needed a win.

Season 59: Second once again as Barre's Large Head-on Colliders proved too hard to chase down after grabbing an early lead on the table.

Season 60: Third place finish equals relegation under new "6 teams down" (aka relegate the skinks) rule.

Season 61: undefeated season in conference finishing with a 5/2/0 record and first place sends Slumbering Skink back to the big time where they belong.

Season 62: Late season stumbles see the skinks drop from challenging for the title and instead barely hold on to third place to remain in premier another season.

Season 63: Another sterling undefeated 5/2/0 season takes the 7th title for the skinks, beating out fellow lizards Sacred Spawning of Sotek. The season featured two successful OTT scores by Shntsyeooa to draw with Error 404 and defeat Spawning as well as a tricky 2 turn touchdown to top Orcs for Correct Spelling in the final game and romp to the title.

Season 64: Back to back titles for the first time in Slumbering Skink history! Shntsyeooa once again had a stirling effort through the season picking up unlikely early wins and saving draws before turning it on for the very last drive of the season. Needing just a draw against Wings of the Condor the skinks made up for a horribly inept first half drive that never came close to scoring by breaking through with their second half drive and then forming a guarding wall of honour as Shntsyeooa ducked into the corner for a turn to celebrate with the fans before stepping over the line. A 1-1 draw enough to seal the 8th Premier Championship.

Season 65: How do you top first time back to back titles? Make it three on the trot. A solid start to the season was just enough for Slumbering Skink to come out on top at the end of the season. Once again they faced off against Wings of the Condor in round 7 but this time the title was already fortunately secured as the skinks stumbled to a loss. All's well that ends well however, 9 premier titles now and still counting.

Season 66: Final round, final turn, final action, 3+ handoff for title 10. 1,1 and back in second place again. Controversy reigned however because the champions had a loss changed to a win after a team that beat them dropped out midseason.

Fourth URN: A repeat of the previous game, 2+ pickup, 3+ handoff for a win with a reroll. 1,1 for the pickup and a draw.

Season 67: A continuation of the previous two games, a couple of big wins and some crushing losses with heavy damage taken. Back to conference for the first time in a while.

Season 70: The finale. Crushed. Smashed. Not the way to go out but it was a good run.

SWL All Southern Wastes CRP Championship: A second half comeback by the Unicorns was enough to manage them a draw with a second draw against LHC on a last turn desperation play by the chorfs sandwiched around a demolition of the goblins wasn't enough to score first place in their group as the goblins took first place with 2 losses and a forfeit (one of the losses was also forfeited for the use of piling on). This set up a playoff game against Error 404 which again turned into a belting and a second half reversal, this time for a loss and end to the cup run.
