When they're wiped out by foul play, they put it down to "bad luck, chaps" and "health problems". But when they win, they're so sickeningly magnanimous and humble, whole stadiums become lynching mobs. Colours: Red, blue and yellow spots. Symbol: a Griffin.
Artic Cragspiders (Human/Norse):
The Cragspiders are twelve time winners of the Chaos Cup. The last time was in 2486 when they beat the Oldheim Ogres. The star player of that day was Snow Troll, Icepelt Hammerblow, who burst open the front line of the Ogres allowing a runner to score the winning touchdown before Icepelt was crushed in an all mighty pile on in the last remaining seconds. However, as the Ogres were removed from the pile, a blasted and crushed body of Icepelt stood up, brushed himself off and walked away to collect the Chaos Cup with a very big grin on his face. To this day, Icepelt has shrugged off each and every block, chainsaw, bomb and deathroller that appeared to have gotten the better of him while hiring himself out to every Norse team willing to pay for the huge amount of ale he desires. Colours: Azur and white. Symbol:
Altdorf Acolytes/Reikland Reavers :
The Reavers are the finest all-round team in the AFC, if not the entire NAF, with no other team coming close to matching their consisten winning record (4 time Blood Bowl winners, 18 time chaos Cup winners!). Under the captaincy of star Blitzer Griff Oberwald, they continue to go from strength to strength. Colours: Yellow and blue. Symbol: a pirate skull with a dagger. Did you know ?

Season tickets for Blood Bowl games can cost anything from 220 gold crowns for a Reikland Reavers cards, to a huge basket of iced buns for the Halfling Greenfield Grasshuggers team, to three chickens and a bag of rats for a lifetime of free Scarcrag Snivellers games!

The Reikland Reavers are reported to have the most aggressive marketing department in the NAF. They regularly mail 1,000,000 copies fo their newsletter, which - amongst other things - offers its readers prizes, such as a night out with Zug or a collection of Griff Oberwald's stitches. The hardest thing the world is to stop them sending you stuff! The Reavers Digest is one heck of a fan newsletter, sure enough.

The official record for the Most Players Dismembered by a Referee is held by ex-Reaver's blitzer, Max 'Kneecap' Mittleman. Kneecap refused to follow the NAF Referees' Guidelines ("Never read 'em 'ave I?") and dispensed summary justice on the pitch with a pair of pliers, a branding iron and a chainsaw. (The latter was only used for Arguing the Ref calls). Kneecap was sacked after three games, but the NAF was forced to reinstate him due to 'pressure from the fans'. Kneecap claims "I never frettened 'em, wit' me chainser, honest!"

Longest Kick-Off Return: 62 paces, by Reikland Reaver 'Fast' Ben Jansen, vs Elfheim Eagles, 2486.

Blood Axes (Dwarf/Human):
The College of Bright Wizards is represented by the Blood Axes. Considered by many to be the best Dungeonbowl team of all time, they have held the Cup in 2479, 2484, 2485 and 2489 by beating the Storm Bolts in the final. One of their most embarassing defeats occured in an early match against the Grey Shadows. The Dwarven members of the team were attempting to make a flank attack by digging an extra tunnel - unfortunately they managed to hit an underground well and flooded the Dungeon, drowning over half of their own team. Excavation during play has since been banned. Colours: Orange and red. Symbol: a shiny axe.
Bright Crusaders:
The Crusaders could be a truly great Blood Bowl team, if it wasn't for one serious handicap - they never, ever, cheat ! While other teams are preparing for the next match by bribing referee's, the Crusaders are performing charity matches - a fact that will keep them in the middle of their Divisions until they shape up and learn to play dirty ! Colours: Yellow, blue and white stripes Symbol: a white skull on a red cross. Did you know ?

In the days before the Colleges of Magic ruled on limiting Wizard assistance to teams, games were awash with magic. Who could forget the infamous 2472 Quagmire Incident when rampant spellcasting caused the Bright Crusaders’ entire stadium to sink into the earth. The Necromancer’s Broadcasting Circle, the Crystal Ball Service, the Association of Broadcasting Conjurers, the Wolf Network, and the Broadcasting Brotherhood of Casters all banded together to force the Colleges of Magic to make the other magical guilds toe the line on a limit to magical interference in the game. Not only was the Cabalvision signal being disturbed, but the game itself was in danger of being ruined, and there are large piles of gold in Blood Bowl broadcasting! Nowadays, the Wizards have taken a more enlightened attitude, preferring to give their team a sudden advantage at a strategic moment, rather than allow sorcery to dominate the game entirely.

<s>Bruendar Grimjacks (Human/Necromantic):
</s> The Grimjacks were the very first team to experiment with using Flesh Golems instead of Mummies. A long time fan of the team, the Dark Elf Sorcerer, Marishel, created the golem known as Frank N. Stein and presented him to the Grimjacks and while Frank has seen better days (we've lost count of the replacement limbs) everyone recognises the most famous Golem of them all when he lurches into the stadium. Twice winners of the Dungeonbowl in 2481 and 2483, Frank has led the team to some stunning victories over some of the biggest names. Note: Since the Grimjacks's players are now dead and unburried, we're not providing them players anymore Colours: Red and green. Symbol:
Creeveland Crescents:
One of the oldest teams in existence, the Crescents are now coached by famous former Crescent blitzer Harry Kehry. With the recent purchase of Rrr'krag Smma'gugg from the Oldheim Ogres, the Crescents look to be making another push towards championship glory. Whether they can match up to the Marauders or the Reavers remains to be seen. Look out folks, because if the Crescents manage to get themselves a favourable schedule for the open rounds, they could make the Semis or even the Blood Bowl final. Colours: Green and white. Symbol:
Evil Gits:
The Evil Gits are an evil team made up mainly of evil human players, though they do occasionally field evil Hobgoblins, evil Orcs, evil Dark Elves, or in fact any other players just so long as they are EVIL! The Gits are followed everywhere by their evil unofficial supporters club, the Evil Gits Unofficial Supporters Club, who are if anything even more evil than the evil team they evilly support! Colours: Black and yellow. Symbol: probably something evil. Did you know ?

'Spike!'' Magazine's number one All-time Worst Player Award goes to 'Speccy' McGroan of the Evil Gits one of those truly incompetent cretins that Blood Bowl need if it is to retain its prime-time status! He played for only one season (2488-89) but over the year he managed to fumble the ball over 30 times, averaging more than two fumbles per match. Speccy's finest hour, however, was in his final match when he managed to fumble the ball a record nine times before he was pulled off (and then pulled apart!) by the Gits head coach.

Azgar Razorspine is the only player to have been sent off for using a magic item in a Blood Bowl final. The Evil Gits lineman brought on a magic rope which couldn't be crossed, and laid it along the edge of the Gits End Zone to prevent their opponents from scoring. Sadly, as Azgar moved away the rope got caught up in his bootlaces and he swept his whole team off the pitch before he realised what was going on. Not surprisingly, the Ref realised the rope was a magic item and sent him off; in all, Azgar dragged 9,342 fans, 8 linemenm 3 wizards and a cheerleader down the tunnel to the changing room with him.

Harlequins (Human/Elf/Halfling):
Noting the success of the Celestial Comets, the College of Rainbow Wizards also decided to sponsor an Elf team. Although they added Halflings and Humans to the side. The Harlequins are now the second most successful team in the league, having held the Cup in 2477, 2481 and 2486. Their style of play is very hard and fast: the Humans make a frontal charge, the Elves teleport in to attack the rear, while the Halflings sneak past with the ball. The only occasion when this failed was a match against the War Hawks: the Harlequin's Halfling Catcher, Ordo Stoutwine, spent the whole match insisting that the ball was not in a chest, but in a picnic hamper he had brought, and he refused to move until he had emptied it to check - even when presented with the ball. Colours: White with multicolor stripes. Symbol: an eye.
Heroes of Law (Human/Dwarf/Elf/Halfling):
The Heroes of Law are everything that the Evil Gits are not. This team frequently has Human, Dwarf, Elf, and Halfling players that play for the team without pay. The players hope to show the world a better way by honest strategic play on the field without resorting to fouling or bribes. The Heroes of Law are known throughout the realms for their charity matches and for key players missing games because they are volunteering for some other worthy cause that day. Colours: White. Symbol: a balance.
Grey Shadows (Human/Snotling/Ogre):
The College of Grey Wizards is represented in the Dungeonbowl league by the Grey Shadows. The team has been quite successful, winning the Dungeonbowl cup in 2478 and 2480, but has a lot of unused potential. Where they fall down is their teamwork - each member of the Grey Shadows tends to go his own way in the game, trying to do everything himself instead of helping his team-mates. In a match against the Grim Reapers, for instance, one of the Snotling plauers was attacked by a Reaper's Minotaur. Although screaming for help from two ogre team-mates standing not six feet away, they shrugged their shoulders and walked off, leaving him to be swallowed - although the Minotaur subsequently choked on the little fellow, with fatal consequences. Colours: Grey and red. Symbol: a red dagger.
(Middenheim) Marauders:
The Marauders always show signs of greatness, especially in the ultraviolent excesses of archmaimer Uthar Hagg, but face strict competition from the Reavers and Gouged Eye. Still, their year could come very soon - many Blood Bowl pundits continue to tip them as the team to watch ! Note: Recently, they were forced to sell their stadium but they preserved a very high level and they're still able to compete with the Reavers. The return match is eagerly anticipated by Blood Bowl fans throughout the Old World, and in quite a few places beyond! Colours: White and red. Symbol: two crossed blades on a white losange. Did you know ?

Half-orc Uthar Hagg of the Middenheim Marauders once punched out four referees during a pre-match coin-toss – and was promptly made Player of the Year by appreciative Marauders fans.

The highest score in a Championship game in 2493 was the Marauders 7-0 defeat of the Bugman's Best Dwarf team in the Blood Bowl play-offs. Many blame the defeat on the fact that the Dwarf players had been sampling the brew after which their team is named (the renowned Dwarf beer known as Bugman's XXXXXX) before the match started. Consequently most of the Dwarf players could barely stand up, let alone play Blood Bow!!

Coach: Cinabre Wolfram Coach assistants: Apothicaire: "Silly" Bastian Zedmann the butcher Owner: Tomas Trommler Players transfers: Erik von Marienburg: Blitzer for the (Middenheim) Marauders. I search picture of the official teams symbols, please help by looking at my profile where all the informations are.

This team is approved by coach Helmut Zwimmer (Reikland Reavers) !
|
