The Sprout Lords & Sprouts

Since the dawn of man, the lands have been turned into fields, farms, small societies to bigger settlements, from the very north to the southern edge of the world. From this development came a small, rather intelligent, family of Sprouts, which live mostly under the human knife. But there have been a few occasions where these little green forms have been able to escape their cruel destiny. These Sprouts belong to the smarter form of Sprouts. They are called, rumour has it, The Sprout Lords.
On occasions the human hand has had a few accidents with these little delicious vegetables (with The Sprout Lords) resulting in fields being burnt for fear of more accidents. What the human doesn't know is, these 'accidents' weren't really accidents, but finely thought-out "wars" against their ruler.

Down the road of history these Sprout Lords have been able to settle in their own areas where they could roam without any interference from other races, and it is from these areas that Blood Bowl gets its Sprout team. So far there've been two Sprout-teams, the first a fragile team: 'Sprouts Of Wrath', and the second team a more heavily built Sprout-team, they called themselves 'Curse Of The Sprouts'.

Now, after the two less and more successful (in that order) teams a new Sprout team showed up. They believe that the Sprout Lords of Old (the very first Sprout Lords, millennia ago) were the Gods of Sprouts who fought against the human hand and managed to give a better life for the Sprout societies of now. This new team is highly religious, in their own way, and they will bring glory to the Sprout-race; they are called:

'Sprouts In Need'
