| Buried deep beneath the dark coverings of the Andes Mtns. dwells an ancient tribe of warrior women, dedicated to preserving their culture and way of life. They are known as the Empire of the Ja'Haliya, a mighty tribe once thought to be the most powerful in the Known World. From generation to generation, the Ja'Haliyans dedicated their lives to the preservation of Nature. Their appreciation for the beauty of their world was so great, that it could not be comprehended by anyone from the outside world. After numerous attempts to enlighten the foreigners who came to explore their domain, the Ja'Haliyan Nation, frustrated, closed itself off from the civilized world. As time passed, the intrusions became far less frequent. The native people to the region understood and valued what the Ja'Haliyans stood for. The locals even began a week-long "Festival of the Ja'Haliya", honoring the Empire's work and dedication toward improving the lives of those around them. Still, the locals very rarely even caught a glimpse of anyone from the Ja'Haliyan Empire. Now, in modern day, the area once protected by the Ja'Haliya has become threatened with ever-expanding industry. The forests are no longer serene and peaceful. Despite their efforts to halt the stream of progress through their land, the Ja'Haliya have been largely unsuccessful. They feel that they have little choice left, but to make their existence once again known to the world. They have uttered a plea for help to anyone who can understand and appreciate their cause. They have come to these tournaments to prove their cause and worthiness amongst the civilized nations. Anyone who may help is asked to answer their call.... |
