<!-- --><br><!-- --><br><!-- --><b>The History</b><br><!-- -->Season 8: The first season in the Premiership, and the Daggers engage in a major, unplanned overhaul of their playing squad. After a week 1 win put them top of the whole OBBA set-up, the team suffered some bruising encounters. Roll on the championship.</br> <!-- --><br><!-- --><br><!-- -->Season 7: The best team in Daggers history and the golden generation delivers. <br><!-- --><img src="http://fumbbl.com/teams/229204.jpg"> <br><!-- -->Where were you when Dimitar Berbatov emerged with the ball and strolled to an exclamation score and clinch the game 7 title decider? We know PSV Zharr-Naggrund defenders were no-where to be seen (ditto AFK Russo, but the rest of the team was able to make up for his absences in the crunch games). A team guilty of just one foul all season (and that barely counts, being for old-time's sake against BBC Internazionale Milano) got its reward for nobly refraining from hiring any dirty players. The coach's addiction to speed didn't seem such a problem either. Average crowd 79,857<br><!-- --><br><!-- --><br><!-- -->Season 6: The season had not even started and the Daggers were having to launch an appeal to avoid a double relegation and claim their rightful place in Division 1. The appeal succeeded and the games began in a league full of teams that eschew armour, the way Fridges like it. In fact they liked it so much that they settled for mid-table mediocrity. Only 1 defeat, but 3 draws proved to be too many points dropped. Average crowd 64,500. <br><!-- --><br><!-- --><br><!-- -->Season 5: The unwanted promotion from the previous year took its toll. By the end of the season, the team was taking the mickey out of the coach, dodging for fun while failing to deliver any blocks. Elfballing norse=relegated norse. The season MVP was Celt Basher, although he hardly impressed (8SPP). Average crowd 80,167. <br><!-- --><br><!-- --><br><!-- -->Season 4: Let the players decide...game one and the ref let the norse get on with it. Gobbie Rarvey was everywhere, kindly sending prone orcs to the bench. In amongst the carnage, the team even managed a T16 score to condemn some Italian orcs to a 1-0 defeat. After that, there was no game two - the scheduled opponents failed to turn up. Game three and the refs let some dirty chaotic russian dwarves foul at will; the daggers took the beating, lost but kept the squad intact. Good practice for game 4, when the refs did a runner and let some cheating Spanish orcs fouls their way to victory. Then, the business end of the season and the refs started showing up as the Daggers finished with 2 wins and a draw, realising their goal of mid-table mediocrity. The fans were more impressed with their pitch clearance against an understrength, poised-to-disband skaven team. Season MVP was Mattias Niemi (17 SPP). Average crowd 67,333.<br><!-- --><br><!-- --><br><!-- -->Season 3: The OBBA needed norse, and these norse needed OBBA, so the Daggers fed on opponents in the feeder league. A 4-1-1 record plus one forfeit against the league winners secured promotion but left the team wondering what might have been had the coach not taken a holiday. With the team concentrating on the league, no-one would pick the ball up in the OBBA Cup resulting in a comprehensive first-round exit but at least no casualties. Then the Mickey Mouse Cup run, all the way to the final. But the 3-0-1 record yielded no more trophies than the 0-0-1 record in the OBBA cup. Player of the year was Anton Cook (21 SPP) in a season lacking any real stars. Average crowd 55,500. <br><!-- --><br><!-- --><br><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><b>The Records</b><!-- --><table border="0" width="700" id="table1" width="700" ><tr><td> <!-- --><table border="3" bordercolor="#3399fF" width="700" id="table2"><!-- --><tr> <!-- --><td colspan="5" bgcolor="#3399fF"><p align="center"><font color="#000000"><big><b>Club Records</b></big></font></td><!-- --></tr><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><tr><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF" align="center"><i><font color="#000000"><b> </b></font></i></td><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF" align="center"><i><font color="#000000"><b>Record</b></font></i></td><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF" align="center" width="150"><i><font color="#000000"><b>Current Season </b></font></i></td><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF" align="center" width="150"><i><font color="#000000"><b>Single Season</b></font></i></td><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF" align="center" width="150"><i><font color="#000000"><b>All Time</b></font></i></td><!-- --></tr><!-- --><!-- --><tr><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF" width="12"><img border="0" src="http://fumbbl.com/teams/146122.jpg" width="34" height="17"></td><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF"><font color="#000000">Top Scorer:</font></td><!-- --><td>1 Celt Basher</td><!-- --><td>5 Jan Field</td><!-- --><td>11 Jan Field</td><!-- --></tr><!-- --><!-- --><tr><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF" width="12" align="center"><img border="0" src="http://fumbbl.com/teams/146123.jpg" width="34" height="17"></td><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF"><font color="#000000">Top Blocker:</font></td><!-- --><td>17 Mattias Niemi </td><!-- --><td>61 Mattias Niemi </td><!-- --><td>209 Mattias Niemi </td><!-- --></tr><!-- --><!-- --><tr><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF" width="12" align="center"><img border="0" src="http://fumbbl.com/teams/146123.jpg" width="34" height="17"></td><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF"><font color="#000000">Best Win:</font></td><!-- --><td>1-0 B'ORCelona</td><!-- --><td> </td><!-- --><td>4-0 BBC Internazionale Milano</td><!-- --></tr><!-- --><!-- --><tr><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF" width="12" align="center"><img border="0" src="http://fumbbl.com/teams/146123.jpg" width="34" height="17"><!-- --><td bgcolor="#3399fF"><font color="#000000">Biggest Crowd:</font></td><!-- --><td>118,000 B'ORCelona</td><!-- --><td> </td><!-- --><td>118,000 B'ORCelona</td><!-- --></tr><!-- --><!-- --></table><!-- --><!-- --> |
