Thrower Mark Howitzer has emerged as the star player of the team, his career only stunted by a niggling injury that meant larger teams have been wary of investing in him. He is now regarded as a prince in the city. Head Coach is Campbell Vurt, a stern old veteran with a criss-cross scar on his throat. He has been responsible for the knights only wins but they are still underachieving and rumours fly about his longevity in the job. Averhiem is the Chief city of the land between the Aver and the Riek, and popular with Dwarf traders from the grey montains, Averhiem's Blood Bowl Team sits near the cattle markets and ferry. Hence on a hot day the smell can be overpowering and weaker opponents pass out. Owned by Ruby Lietdorf cousin of the deceased "mad" Marius Lietdorf, Elector Count of Averland. The team and Ruby are known for being, moody, passionte, genourous with the wine, flighty, superstitous, and a bit odd in the head. They refuse to play on unlucky days but have been known to charge witlessly into dangerous situations. They say they value honour most highly. Others say they value amatuer dramatics most highly. The sausages served at half time are the best in the empire. They seek revenge on Drong's Pub Team, and in particular the blitzer, Drong, himself, for killing their proud son, cattle carrier, strongest man in the sound of Averhiem cathedral bell, Harlon Nayl. It is a point of honour that this slight be avenged. The team are petioning for better armour due to the high number of injuries the team are suffering.
