THE NORSCA STORMERS The Sveinsson tribe were rightly feared throughout the Old World for being brutal, vile, monstrous beings. The tribe's chieftian, Skagul 'Stormhammer' Sveinsson I, was the most violent of all, playing his first Blood Bowl match, not with a ball, but with the unfortunate referee's head. The Norsca Stormers were formed at the height of the Sveinsson tribe's powers not just as an example of supreme arrogance, but also to satisfy the tribe's delight of kicking people's heads in. It is rumoured that they take as much pleasure in beating an opponent to the floor as they do with scoring. The Stormers roam the Old World in search of worthy opponents, moving one step closer to the day where they will be recognised as an all-powerful force on the Blood Bowl field. Coach: Famous Players: Top Scorer: Awards: Game 1: The Stormers' debut game, and it was a poor start for the fans, with a 2-0 loss to Wood Elf team Fear The Forest. The death of Agnar Ásgrímsson simply capped off this mediocre performance. The amount of blocks and fouls made by the Stormers goes to show how much they were outclassed. Game 2: The second game of the Stormers' season resulted in another loss, this time to Chaos Dwarf team Chicago Bull. Another death in the form of lineman Asavar Hallgrímsson was not a good omen, and the Stormers eventually succumbed 3-1, Ólafur Ingimarsson getting the only touchdown. Game 3: The Stormers' winning ways finally began with a hard fought 1-0 victory against Chaos Dwarf team the Lost Narlek Defenders. It was clear from the start of the match that this would be a bloody game, with a Lost Narlek player being stretchered off within the first few seconds. In the first half, the Stormers' determination resulted in a mighty Bull Centaur being badly hurt, a KO'd Hobgoblin, and a touchdown courtesy of catcher Einar Stefánsson. From the start of the second half, it became obvious that Lost Narlek coach Ikkit_Overload had given his team a rousing team talk, and the Defenders came very close to equalising mid way through the second period. The Stormers managed to hold on, however, for a close 1-0 victory. |
