THE CRIPPLE PEAK CADAVERS

Originally the Cripple Peak Crusaders, the Cripple Peak Cadavers were a successful band of thugs and rogues, stealing warpstone and other exotic items for the more corrupt Bretonnian families in exchange for a very hefty fee. This was, however, until the Undead Lord, Nagash, became aware of such thievery of his precious warpstone. He ordered his minions to bring to him every single member of this group, on punishment of death. Nagash rendered the mens' very souls from their bodies, leaving them lifeless shells, gaunt-eyed and obedient. Giving them one chance to bring glory to his name, he used his dark magic to imbue in them the skills needed to play the sport of Blood Bowl. He sent them forth to compete for the Chaos Cup of 2511, where they emerged victorious. The Cadavers went on to win the cup for the next three years, and became rightly feared throughout the Old World. This all changed, however, at the final of The Chaos Cup of 2515. The Cadavers faced the Skaven team the World's Edge Warlocks, where it was clear from the beginning of the game that the Warlocks had been affected by some mysterious force. Incredibly, it became apparent that the ratmen had all ingested pure warpstone in an attempt to overpower the Cadavers. After taking an almighty hit from Mummy Khafra II, Warlock Gutter Runner Oddmundus Squeek detonated, taking the stadium, the crowd, and the Cadavers' team with him. Hearing of this tragedy, Nagash ordered his minions to find the remains of the players, and return them to everlasting undeath.
Now, the Cadavers are ready to launch their assault on the teams of the Old World once more, and bring more glory to the Lord of the Undead, Nagash.
