Well, the resources of the Dublin Metal Scene are being stretched to breaking point here, specifically in the names department :) After such stalwarts as Paddy, Colly, Steve Maher, Philly and Nails being killed on the pitch, and Alan Averill and Fart being retired due to incapacitating injury (broken legs and broken back), we have begun recruiting from beyond the pale, with the addition of Ciaran Tracey to the ranks. Of course, pedants will note that Alan has of course been reincarnated as Nemty, Vadid as Caller of the Black, and of course Astarmain and DFrost are in fact the same person. It's all holograms, I tell you, that player was only resting on the bench. Anyway, onwards and upwards. After a few disappointing defeats recently, and the loss of our glorious leader Colly, we finally have an uninjured roster of 12 players who might actually all turn up for the next game :) The gameplan at the moment is to put John McGee, DFrost, Parcell, Lemmy and Nemty on the Line of Scrimmage, where hopefully they will take the heat off Frank and allow him to collect the ball. Clince and Astarmain will try to get Big Al and Timmy into space in the backfield and protect them until Frank can get a Long Bomb soaring downfield. Caller of the Black will probably get into the starting lineup: he needs the practice, and Ciaran Tracey will sit on the bench providing backup should anything happen to Frank. Or anybody else... At least, that's the theory. Keep an eye out in the future for more signings: our talent scouts have their beady eyes on Scobes, Ado Butler, H, and Kearns.
