Winners of GLT VII GLT VII Tournament Page Round 1: 2-1 win over Stonetroll's Pokemors, quite bloody Round 2: 2-1 win over blackGigio's NecroGigios, where we Nuffled our way through Semi-Final: 2-1 win over ruoste's Uncensored Teenage Hardcore, a slow, orcish grind to OT Final: 2-1 win over JockMcRowdy's Empire Strikes Back Insanity, beset by heavy-armored elves, we eventually catch a break with an OT Blitz! to seal the win Winner of GLTVII - Old Teams 2 Qualifier Legion of Orgrimmar's GLT VI Loss Entrant in the GLT High TR Qualifier First Opponent: gurkhans claws They beat us up pretty good, but our coin-flipping skills pulled us through. Second Opponent: From the Sewer Epic Contest of Evil versus Also Evil. The Legion came through unscathed, but lost to an opponent who we crippled. Legion of Orgrimmar's GLT VIII Loss (Title Defense) Entrant in the GLT Old Teams Qualifier First (and only) Opponent: Atei Our GLT title defense run ends in elfish fashion. We scored in our drive, they scored in theirs. OT coinflip and the game went to the dark elves. Legion of Orgrimmar's Warpstone Open VIII (2012) First (and only) Opponent: Team of the Spider QueenWell, this one was lulzy but futile. We got elfed and elfed good. Both sides had Strip Ball and no Sure Hands, but elves play that game a whole lot better. We gave it a good shot, but we were on our heels the whole way. Valley of Honor Heroes of the Horde Rokhan 57 Games / 50 spp 4 / 6 / 1 / 9 Mighty Blow, Regenerate, Really Stupid, Throw Team Mate, Always Hungry, Big Guy, +ST, Block, Guard "The Behemoth Who Held the Team Together" Rokhan was never meant to take over games; he was a stalwart. His job was to be the anchor in the middle of the scrum, the force that no one even attempted to block, so intimidating was his presence on the pitch. Killed in this game versus Kenty's Sleeper in Metropolis. Heroes of the Horde Grotty Little Tournament VII - Participant. Championship Ring. True Co-MVP of the Final. MVP of the tournament. Scored the regulation TD for LoO in the GLT-VII Final. Got the RIP that burned ESBI's apo. Blitzed the ball free early in the second half, but failed to pick it up; nearly a game-winning play. Cleared the path for Saurfang's game-winning TD. He died on the pitch not long after our GLT victory. Heroes of the Horde Samuro 46 Games / 107 spp 6 / 4 / 5 / 9 Block, +AG, +AG, Mighty Blow, Tackle, +ST "Mightiest of Them All" Samuro is the best stat-freak we've ever had. He was a terror on the pitch, plowing his way through tackle zones en route to the ball. He was paired with similarly-agile Grom to make up one of the few AG5 tandems ever to play on an orcish side. Heroes of the Horde Grom 50 Games / 80 spp 7 / 3 / 5 / 9 Block, +AG, +AG, +MA, Tackle, Guard "Hunter and Scorer Unmatched" Grom was the second of our AG5 blitzer tandem. Together he and Samuro were the "warblitzers", wardancers in orcish armor. Unfortunately with great stats came great age. He was eventually done in by LRB4's rules for aging and niggling injury. He is living out his retirement in a penal colony, where they let him execute condemned prisoners. Heroes of the Horde Lor'themar Theron 36 Games / 109 spp 7 / 3 / 4 / 8 Animosity, Pro, Block, Dodge, Strip Ball, +MA "To the victor, goes the elf" Lor'themar was our reward for winning GLT VII. While we gained little glory during his run with the team, he was our primary ball carrier in the post-Brakgul era of the team. We look forward to seeing who will step in and become his successor. Feats of Honor 2-1 win over JockMcRowdy's Empire Strikes Back Insanity. Glory for the orcs with their first CRP major win on FUMBBL (and to-date, their only win). Feats of Honor The Experiment Fails 6 / 6 / 2 / 8 Mighty Blow, Frenzy, Prehensile Tail, Big Guy, Wild Animal, Block, +ST, Dodge This ST6 blodging rat ogre was a terror. We faced off with him in Round 2 of the GLT VI qualifiers. He was enough of a threat that he had to be ended. Our DP goblin, Roxxix II but the boot to him and pulled the plug on The Experiment. Feats of Honor Khazad Killer Killed! 8 / 3 / 4/ / 7 Catch*, Frenzy, Claw, Block, +AG, Dodge, Side Step, Tackle *LRB4 wolf This kill came in one our many clashes with the legendary Sleeper in Metropolis. Though the game was only a draw, a 1-1 tie was still better than we usually fared against the Sleepers, who truly have our number. In this particular case, our massive troll, Rokhan, did the honors with a 3-die block. Khazad died with the ball in his hands. Feats of Honor I'm pretty sure we had something to do with the death of Blackwing. We may or may not have been involved in the destruction of the Lich King. All that pales in comparison to our epic clashes with the Hellbound Charioteers, Sleeper in Metropolis, Empire Strikes Back Insanity, Paladins of Purple, Fleetfoot's Revenge I, ORC International, Dirty Little Dinos, Cult of Shadows, Clint Eastwood Roles, Angry Newscasters, Team of the Spider Queen, and scores of other epic teams on the Blood Bowl pitch! |
