The Golden Halibut Clan was one of the last groups to arrive at the artifact, but established themselves as a striving and industrious part of Backwater Bilge, mostly due to the constant supply of Hobgoblin slaves seemingly appearing out of nowhere. While the Clan is relatively young in Dwarven terms, it has a moved history. The original founders were splitting up from a Clan focused on creating small, yet beautiful silver jewlery (and heavy axes), called the Red Trout Clan. The first members of what became to be the Golden Halibut Clan were, as it is the case with so many other Chaos Dwarves, sent on an exploration to the wastelands to search for a legendary device of great power, the Golden Halibut itself. But the Chaos Marshes changed them, and with time the ways of the Dwarves were forgotten, and the search for the Golden Halibut was a failure. Their numbers though were growing, and the Clan settled near the towers of Zharr Nagrund. Time passed and the search for the Golden Halibut turned more and more into a fable, rather then a story to belive in. Until that day the light appeared, far away, yet visible, and that was when the Clan started moving again, not driven by the desire to explore alone, but in the hope of finding a tool mighty and useful for conquest. |
