Beer Engine Brewery was broke; Elven wine and Dwarven whisky were becoming fashionable in Altdorf and sales were down.

Head Brewer Michelle Maltings had an idea...... the employees were mostly ogres, good for heavy lifting, and she thought why not form a Blood Bowl team?

Beer Engine FC played all comers, anywhere, anytime, to raise money and save the brewery, and spread the message of the greatness of beer.

The team was a wild success, thanks to their brutal play style and willingness to try crazy plays. They attract huge crowds and interested coaches to spectate, and they even won some games.

The brewery has long since been saved, and Michelle has retired from Blood Bowl. However, the Beer Engine rolls on. Michelle's brother Mick has taken the head coach job and the team has gone pro. The brewery is now a recruiting ground for new players.
