Once, there was a little town with the name of Wuppertal, a peaceful place where everybody was satisfied by a normal and quiet life of - sometimes hard - work. But then one day, all this changed, when a band of wizards decided to settle their school of magical education nearby. The townfolk was confused of the sudden appearance of an old castle quite in the middle of their lake - I mean, there wasn't even an island the night before. There had to be something odd about those mystical Longbeards. Meanwhile, the wizards could tell a long story of their former attempts to start such a school. Always had they been suspected to be minions of a greater evil, and sooner or later, the townfolk grabbed some torches and pitchforks and ruined everything, the wizards had (re)built. But this time, they found a perfect place, and they would defend it, with swords and sorcery. The whole situation was dangerous as a tinderbox, and maybe it would have ended in a disaster, but suddenly, both parties discovered, that they had something in common: There love and passion for an ancient game... called Blood Bowl. So, they made a pact: The townfolk's team - that was performing quite awful up to then - could get the assistance of the most experienced wizards throughout important matches. In return, if the team was against equal challengers and there was a promising student, then this one should get the chance to gather some practical experience supporting the team in behalf of a Grand Wise. The pact was finalized by renaming the team to Wuppertal Wizards. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "House rule": Whenever possible - and despite any other, maybe more useful options - I will choose a wizard as inducement to support this team.
