vs Jumaliskot: 1-1 The first game the wolves played was a scrappy draw with their opponents managing to blitz the wolves offence on the starting kick off. Combined with a clever short kick from the Slann team meant the Wolves were quickly 1-0 down. Some tough play on both sides continued through the rest of the game with the wolves equalling the scoring through Warren Zevon. However the most telling point of the match was when it became obvious that the wolves had raised up elves as zombies with Jackson Browne and LeRoy Marinell both following the example of Lee Ho Fook and making interceptions to prevent Jumaliskot scoring. The head necromancer is now debating about introducing some elfball tactics in future training sessions following this super display of catching.[\block] vs Life Drainers: 3-0 Game 2 for the wolves was a crushing win over an Undead team known as Life Drainers. The game started well with a few well delivered KOs before Ramses III who had injured Kauket got fool hardy and decided to the stick the boot into a prone Wolves player. The ref sent of the silly mummy in turn 2 and the wolves blitzed the other mummy off the field the following turn. The crowd beat him up so much that he didn't regenerate. Having their two strongest players off the pitch meant that the Life Drainers couldn't prevent 2 first half touch downs by the Wolves. The wolves received the kick at the start of the second half and some careful play allowed Waddy Watchel to score another touch down in turn 8. The biggest blow to the wolves came when John McVie was killed in the second half and failed to regenerate. A comfortable 3-0 win to the wolves and enough winnings to allow another Flesh Golem to be hired. So far so good for the wolves, hopefully Nuffle will continue to favour them.[\block] vs Fawnificati^0.o^n: 2-0 Game 3 for the wolves was a relatively uneventful affair. The wolves challenged a chaos team called Fawnificati^0.o^n in their own stadium. There was virtually damaged caused on either side throughout the game despite the wolves managing to surf three of the opposing team off the field. The home crowd obviously decided that it would be better for the chaos players to return to the field which meant that they just pushed them to the dug out. Waddy and Warren scored a touch down a piece which gave the wolves a 2-0 win with Lon Chaney being a surprise choice for the wolves MVP. The head necro is quite happy with the wolves progress but wishes that the two flesh golems would start contributing a bit more to the team.[\block] vs Nehekhara Packers: 2-0 The second 2-0 win for the wolves in a row. The Packers challenged the Wolves but as this was their first game compared to the fourth game for the wolves they were slightly outclassed. A score in each half for the wolves gave them the win with Warren hogging the scoring. On his way to the first touch down he killed Imhotep, the Packers Thro-Ra. However Imhotep managed to regenerate denying the Wolves the chance to raise another zombie much to the head necros frustration. What could have been a close cage game after the opening moments ended up being one sided with the wolves scoring two touch downs to nil and also three casualties to nil. A good game which meant that Warren Zevon, Lee Ho Fook and Jackson Browne all managed to develop their skills.[\block] vs Short and Violent Men: 0-2 A disastrous game for the wolves not just their first loss but also the damage inflicted to their star players. Waddy Watchel was killed, Warren Zevon was given a serious concussion and Johnny McVie was given a damaged back. All credit goes to the wolves opponents for some hard fought play and although the wolves did some initial damage it was the Short and Violent Men who hit back even harder and then delivered two nice scores to wrap up the game. The head necromancer would like to pay all due respect to the oppositions head coach but also issues this warning; when we meet again we will get revenge.[\block] |
