FCU stands for Free City University, after the nickname of the wealthy trading city Marienburg. Marienburg has long been the largest and most prosperous trading city in the Old World. Fiercely independent from the Empire, this large, rich and ambitious body of men feel themselves shackled by the old order and are eager to seize power for themselves. This is reflected in the Crusaders wealth gained from community donations. No team can rival the Crusaders in facilities and equipment. Despite this, the Crusaders have only ever won two championships as their teams usually lack unison due to their students focus on individual glory over teamwork.
