Background In the deepest, darkest corners of the Southern Wastes there is the occasional whisper of a group of renegades. These renegades (so the stories say) are dedicated to Malal, the hierarch of terror and anarchy, who desires nothing more than the destruction of his fellow Chaos gods. The hatred in mutual. Dedicated to the destruction of all be they for good or evil, Malal is one to engender dread amongst even the hardiest of souls. Perhaps even more frightening is the parasitic nature of this god's strength. As the power of the pantheon rises, as does his, and then the chaotic tendencies of his followers are given fresh impetus and they gain an increased ability to enact his plans. For decades, as the war raged and then peace settled on the land, these rumours continued to nag away in the bars and other meeting places of the inhabitants but it is a name that was not meant to be spoken. Never meant to be heard. But it was... Some time ago off the coast of Batmania, a large galleon was spotted by a passing brigantine. Upon attempting to hail the mysterious vessel they were apparently set upon and the last messages heard were the keening wails of those on board begging for their very lives. Then the signal died. Now, the chosen of Malal, the Doomed Ones have chosen to reveal themselves. Operating from their massive vessel named "The Leviathan", they throw themselves on a disbelieving world. Seeking nothing more than the bloodshed of all as they follow the capricious whims of their master, the followers of the Renegade God have come to the Blood Bowl pitch. For now is the time of Malal whose power waxes brightly in the maelstrom. Malal will not be denied. And Malalocide are to be his avatars in the world of the SWL. Did You Know? Malal's sacred number is 11. (Coincidence?) Did You Know? Malal's followers actively seek followers of the other Gods in order to destroy them. They are happy to kill any others they find, but their goal is always the destruction of other Chaotic disciples. Did You Know? Malal is also known as Malice, The Renegade God, The Lost God and The Outcast God. His followers are known as "Doomed Ones". Did You Know? Malal's champion Kaleb Daark has fought side by side with soldiers of the Empire (against Khornate warriors)! This occurred at the Siege of Praag. Did You Know? As the power of the Pantheon increases, so does that of Malal. Click the star for more! Malalocide - Useful Links "Grown mightily indignant at the words of the Gods, Malal did turn his heart against them and flee into the chambers of space . . . And no man looked to Malal then, save those that serve that which they hate, who smile upon their misfortune, and who bear no love save for the damned. At such times as a warrior's heart turns to Malal, all Gods of Chaos grow fearful, and the laughter of the Outcast God fills the tomb of space . . ." Malal is the true embodiment of Chaos. Seeking nothing more than the destruction of the Pantheon as well as any others his warriors may meet. This is a difficult god God to discuss as his power is in direct proportion to the power of the other Gods yet he is apparently not interested in power for power's sake. He is the Hierarch of Terror and Anarchy, willingly followed by some whose ambition far outstrips their instinct for self-preservation. Malal bears scrutiny as his relationship with his followers is a strange one. Seeming to reward their devotion with terrible ability in causing bloodshed, yet being more than willing to sacrifice them to further his plans, Malal is a God whose followers should bear no illusions that they have a great chance of a long period of service. Having said that, their devotion can make the followers of other Gods appear wishy-washy by comparison. Also, his followers also appear to have more direct contact with their God than the rest of the Pantheon. Malal's followers work towards one goal. They desire nothing more than the return of their God to this plane of reality and their efforts are becoming more and more noticeable. Malalocide believe that the adulation they will receive from the legions of SWL fans (should they win the trophy) may prove to be enough to ensure the return of their God. Malalocide 3-0 Swift Kick in the Grass A great start to the Trial of Blood marred by the death of Menoetius. However, the life of a follower of Malal is not for those who wish to live forever. A good 3-0 win with a nice spread of 19 SPP going to four players. Scorers: Kathal - 1, Invictus - 1, Deimos - 1. Casualties: Invictus - 1, Tartarus - 1. Completions: Kathal - 1. Malalocide 0-3 Complaints Department Completely outplayed. Complaints Department were clinically efficient and showed us just what needs to be done for the upcoming season Casualties: Tartarus - 1. Malalocide 1-1 Black Tower Barons In what was a Trial of Blood rematch for me, we managed to score a nice and safe 1-1 draw. A couple of heart-stopping moments, but no lasting injuries and a couple of SPP is a nice result. Scorers: Ba'kel Draak - 1. Malalocide 0-2 Malapropism Mania Well played by BeefyGoodness! Nice and controlled play by the Chaos Dwarfs and we never really got anything going. A middling kind of Trial so far, but players are developing quite well and we shall soon be ready to bring the wrath of Malal on our opponents. Casualties: Poine - 1. Malalocide 2-0 EndZone Tranquility A good result! Some more scores for our big Warriors which will hopefully have them ready to produce performances worthy of their patron. Defended solidly and managed to score twice. Especially pleasing was keeping any sort of Elves scoreless. Anyway, after this match we have reached our 1300TW so our Trial is over and the team returns to The Leviathan off the coast to make preparations for their future. Short or long, they each will bring glory to Malal! Scorers: Ba'kel Draak - 1, Kathal - 1. Casualties: Deimos - 1.
