King Phar of Mahrak Mahrak is a city in Nehekhara. It is located on the eastern side of the Worlds Edge Mountains and the only way to reach it is via the Charnel Valley. It is quite close to the end of the valley and as such the armies of Mahrak have been known to use the valley to set up devastating ambushes. It was originally known as the City of Hope. It served as the home of the priest council of Nehekara. Mahrak is an ancient city, dating from at least the first coming of Settra. It is said that the greatest king of Mahrak, Phar, held out against Settra's army by ambushing it in the valley. His troops were seasoned after fighting off countless Orcs and Goblins, clearing the region for the good of his city. Only after Phar died could Settra take Mahrak. After the machinations of Nagash, Phar was one of the first to rise from his tomb. He was infuriated to find his descendants had bowed to Khemri and ordered the mummies of the other Kings of Mahrak dragged out and destroyed. He remains the only king of Mahrak now, defying the will of Settra whenever he can. King Phar has an iron will and will project this to his followers. The Mahrak Tomb Scorpions Now in peace King Phar is looking for new ways to defy Settra. His plan is to have the best Blood Bowl team in the known world. To realize his plan King Phar has put together some of Mahrak's finest fighters. The Jackal Squadron has gotten reinforcement from some of King Phar's own Tomb Guardians. Leading the 'troops' is none other then Coach Shakall that has made a name for himself as a notorious lover of money and blood. King Phar has opened the treasury of Mahrak for this undertaking - to compete in the toughest Blood Bowl division there ever was, the Black Box. King Phar has made it clear that his 'Tomb Scorpions' is to become the best and most feared team in all of Nehekhara. Anything short of this and Coach Shakall will leave Mahrak a head shorter the he arrived, on the other hand if he is successful he will become richer then he could ever dream of and he will get his own private army of retired players plus a statue made of gold outside the 'King Phar Blood Bowl Arena'. I guess this time it's really 'all in' for Coach Shakall.
