Region: Blasted Plains Head Coach: m0gw41 Race: Amazon Team Colours: White Injury Count: 7 perms on 5 players Extraordinary Company of Bloodbowling (ECB) Ladies The ECB Ladies have for years dominated the Old World's bloodbowl leagues. Tired of sub-standard opposition and hearing of rumours of a new breed of bloodbowl team forged from the descendants of Old World colonists, these brave ladies have left behind the quaint trappings of the Old World in search of worthy opposition. Hearing of the mighty volcanos spewing their noxious fumes into the air the expedition has been named the "Ashes Tour". Although used to traditional "Test" Bloodbowl the team will adapt to the modified rules played in these lands. With limited members travelling players will not retire, even if injured, however a small number of trainees have agreed to make the journey to replace lost team mates and the squad hopes to recruit the odd local sheila with a tenous link to the Old World through long lost relatives. Now in their 5th series of their tour, the ladies have amassed some impressive silverware including 5 Blasted Plains Winners medals, the Series 3 & 5 SSL Winners Cup and the Series 3 & 5 Casualty Cup. Did you know... ...that the ECB Ladies went the entire of Season 1 and two games beyond without picking up a single SI or death? How boring! - - - Series 5 News - - - ECB Ladies win 2nd SSL title and win back the Casualty Cup! ECB ladies take down our usual rivals, the norse Jim Lahey Experience in the semis and then finally get a win over the Noisome Swarthy Woodsmen (3rd time of asking). After the long trip North we get outbashed by some woodies but prevail regardless, bringing the Casualty Cup back to its rightful home in the South. In the last 4 games 4 broken ladies succumbed finally to their permanent injuries leaving the squad with just 5 injured players (down from 10!), the team is looking pretty mean going into Season 6. The Fifth Series aka "The Regeneration Tour": Summary to follow... The Fourth Series aka "The Injury Tour": The team secured a nother 5-0-0 clean sweep of the plains, losing just one -ST player to a ball related death but picking up two more perms along the way. A disastrous lost semi-final vs the eventual SSL winners, resulted in 6 casualties including one dead and 3 permed, making the ECB ladies the joint most injured team on the tour but still weighing in at the heavyweight class, with a long line of line fodder waiting to test their survivability. The Third Series aka "The Victory Tour": An unbeaten 4-1-0 series win in the regionals was followed by success in the regional knockouts, beating last years SSL champions and some unbeaten Norse in the Grand Final, covered in the ashes, dust and dried blood the ladies finally lift the SSL trophy! With no time for celebrations the gals, go straight to the venue for the one-off, winner takes all Casualty cup against the NSL Champions, some evil but Chaos Dwarves, however despite the weary ladies taking a beating they triumph in overtime to take home the cup and cap an (almost) perfect series. The series leaves the squad well drilled but the signs of three long tours are evident: 6 out for the first game of the 4th series and 6 long term injury worries. Have the ladies reached their peak? The Second Series aka "The Strength Busting Tour": The Ladies win their 2nd SSL regional series with a last gasp tie against some stat freak necros. Not the perfect series this time but a pretty handy 4-1-0 record. Lost again in the finals to the dastardly woodies after some silly Xmas booze related coaching errors... The two -ST busts against some rough ogres and another in the finals mean the team is beginning to show signs of wear but with training going well the side is coming together nicely. The First Series aka "The Unblemished Tour": A resounding 5-0 series win in the regionals, spearheaded by big hitter Charlotte Edwards (5 cas => 3 kills), ably supported by twice woman-of-the-match Jan Brittin. The team had no injury troubles going into the regional play-offs and comfortably beat some Toads before losing in the Grand Final to some pesky Woodies. The season finishes with the ladies unblemished apart from a burning desire to go one better next tour.
