FC United of Middenheim
Retired [L] Elven Union

History of FC United of Middenheim
Sponsored By:

Because when life throws a block your way, we got you covered.

Established by a wealthy city-elf from the human province of Middenheim, the Red Rebels, or, as they are more officially known, FC United of Middenheim, recruit their players from the various elven populations in the Middenland who are shunned by the "pureblood" teams. With many of their members having not so much as touched a single gold coin before signing on, it is no surprise that they have ended up with more bravery than actual talent. While many believe the chance of them escaping the bottom of the barrel; let alone hoisting a trophy, are slim, stranger things have happened.

#1Fima ImazaithiriBlitzer11NoneShowed up to recruitment in a drunken stupor, and to this day doesn't remember signing up.
#2Romimi AÿelislomeBlitzer40
His overly ornate armor was stolen from a High Elf nobleman.
#3Riramo RedarifeciciCatcher10NoneHis hairstyle is actually that of a local street gang's.
#4Alatha EnéfamimeCatcher16NoneOnce ran from Middenheim to Talabheim without stopping just to see if she could. And she could.
#5Calovi EriÿapariThrower27NoneBefore joining FC United, Calovi used to poach deer.
#6Tira CeliikiLineman4NoneCondemned for theivery, Tira was given the choice of execution or Blood Bowl. Many feel execution would have been the safer choice.
#7Quathari AlanauliLineman0NoneWhile many question Quathari's ability and skill in the sport, nobody doubts his raw determination, something most feel will get him killed sooner than later.
#8Sir Elfington The ElfThrower6NoneAny rumors that Sir Elfington is infact a human in disguise are just that, rumors.
#9Valahuir DaerleonCatcher8
While Valahuir claims he is of wood elf descent, he has never revealed any details about his ancestors, which makes many suspect he may infact be a dark elf.
#10Artist Formerly Known as ElfCatcher0NoneNobody knows where he came from, and frankly nobody cares. His teammates do find his insistance on using a symbol for a name obnoxious however.
#11Elifa VadanefewethaLineman12NoneElifa is well known in the club for drinking more than a dwarven king, a sight very unbecoming for an elf.
#12Eldaernth WylchyrLineman12NoneA mercenary hired on for lack of a more suitable replacement, Eldaernth is often looked down upon by the other players.

*Blue are permenent injuries, while Red are deaths and immediate retirements. Refer to individual player's pages for more comprehensive details.

#8Dafo AfuniviciraLineman0NoneDafo lived up to the prediction of "Most Likely to Die" by smashing his face into a rock while attempting to dodge during the 2nd turn of the team's very first game.

Those that died or retired without accomplishing anything of note, noble or ignoble, will still be listed in the Book of Records
No players in FC United's history have yet reached the level where a spot in the hall of honor would be appropriate. As such the hall of honor is more of a broom closet really. We keep the mop bucket there.

The Preseason for OBBA Season 23 saw FC United take it's first steps into the professional world. A slurry of hard matches and heavy knocks saw a few early players fall, most impressive (albiet in a bad way) was the death of Dafo Afunivicira, who managed to trip and split his skull fatally open within the first few minutes of the team's inaugural match. Two more players fell in the course of the 5 games, one having died and the other taking a crippling injury, thus being forced into an early retirement.

Luck however was on their side during the final leg however, as despite taking many, many serious blows, very few actual injuries resulted, especially in their group stage finisher match against AFC Hellmouth which saw an impressive 4 players taken out of action, (with many, many more having been KO'd at various points but recovered) yet not one suffered any sort of long lasting injury. Well nobody important anyway. And with one last game against Premiership side Pro-Russia Dortmund, FC United stood ready to face their first season.

Currently FC United's trophy case is completely empty, but they hope to at least have a 3rd place medal in here someday!
