Mount Barak Marauders

Tyr Tanngnjostr tale begins when he was tasked with the the rescue of Jarl Hrungnirs daughter Freya, who had been kidnapped by some Bjornlings. Tyr soon caught up with his prey but he was much too late as something else had been stalking that day. The great lord of wolves Fenrir and his ravenous pack had torn the Bjonlings to little pieces and Freya lay bleeding in the dirt. Tyr mounted a fierce assault on the mad and raging beasts forcing them to retreat, but not the fierce and mighty Fenrir. After a lengthy duel Tyr was finally able to overcome Fenrir but at the cost of a hand.


Tyr took the bleeding Freya back to her father where she recounted Tyrs brave heroics in her final dying breaths. Jarl Hrungnir threw a great feast in Tyrs honor and bestowed upon him the legendary sword Skofnung. Skofnung is said to be imbued with the spirits of the twelve berserkers who held Jotunir Pass for fifteen days against a rampaging horde of greenskins. Tyr proved himself a great hero many times since that day gaining fame throughout Norsca. But the wound he received from the jaws of Fenrir had infected Tyr.


The infection had slowly spread through Tyrs body and into his mind. A madness took hold of Tyr and the need to kill was getting harder for him to resist. Before he lost himself completely Tyr ventured North up the River Fena and deep into the Mountains of Thjazi where he found himself at the base of the volcanic Mount Barak. Living deep inside this volcano were a lost tribe of marked men and beasts who have been waiting for Tyr to lead them to a glorious bloody future.
