Head Coach: Hafthor Joshuasson Region: Ostermark Home Field: The Battleground, Bechafen Team Colours: Purple and Yellow Ostermark University Manticores Ostermark U. is situated in Bechafen, at the far north of the region, and has been ever since the fall of Mordheim forced them to move campus. They have ties to Karak Kadrin to the south. History Ostermark is a region on the eastern edge of the Empire, and as such see more trouble than other regions. Frequent Chaos incursions from the North and the vampires of Sylvania to the South mean Ostermarkers are never safe from conflict. The frequently ally with the Slayer Dwarves of KArak Kadrin when Chaos invades the area. Ostermark University is tailored to Ostermarkers, and doesn't teach the arts. It specialises in agriculture & natural sciences, warfare, and an understanding of dark magic & the forces of Chaos. Coach Joshuasson Hafthor Joshuasson is a retired Dwarven Ranger and lecturer at the university. For years ranging was all he knew, but when he lost his arm defending Peak Pass and was unable to wield a greataxe or steady a crossbow he turned to academia, passing on his knowledge of the mountains and the wilds to the students of Ostermark. He first took up coaching the university Blood Bowl team this Winter, but soon found that strong Ostermarkers didn't go to the university. They were too in-demand defending the borders; militiamen and soldiers. He knew his line would be taken to pieces, and if he couldn't defend his talented players then they would surely fail. One thing Dwarves know is tactics. He combated this problem by striking a deal with Karak-Kadrin to provide freshly-oathed Slayers with university scholarships. These players fear nothing and seek only glory in death. A blood bowl fields seems as good a place as any to find it... Seasons Year 1 - Winter Pre Season Friendlies None played yet Players Year 1 Players of Note Thomas Brady - Tom is the stereotypical college jock. Superb athlete and ladies man, he'll make a name for himself at Ostermark before being drafted by the big leagues. Haber Ungersson - A slayer from Karak Kadrin, Haber is all power and rage. Dogan Dundersson - A more studied slayer, Dogan was a former ranger like his coach and an excellent hunter and trapper. Edmund the Everliving - Edmund is studying Dwarven politics at Ostermark, and travelled to Karak Kadrin as part of this studies. He received a runic tattoo during his visit, and now finds himself near-invincible. He sports the famous Mohawk haircut of the slayers. Stats Top Players To follow. Divisional Rivals Overview Nordland College - Fast and strong-jawed, the Nordlanders display the aggression of their northern cousins. Fortunately, they also share their propensity for playing armour-less. Wolfenburg College - Strong and powerfuk the Ostlanders from Wolfenburg College could be dangerous, if sober enough. Wolves of Kislev - Not a true part of the Empire, Kislev are a bit of an unknown quantity and certainly one to watch out for. They have been known to field werewolves in matches!
