Head Coach: Sonrises Region: the Hinterlands of Khuresh Home Field: Calith "the Jungle" Field Team Colours: Green & Brown Oyxl Great Pyramid Heroes Back in the dawning of the Old World, gods had a vision of a subterranean empire, a hollow realm where creatures part man and part snake burrowed and writhed in the dark, tainted earth beneath the hot far-away lands of Khuresh. History At some point in history Chaos arose and creatures started pouring through the Warp Portal. A great battle took place here and the Lizardmen that at one time guarded the temple were all slaughtered. For an age all was quiet, then new creatures were spotted in the temple region by the Skaven and Goblins that inhabited the Jungles, part man part snake, with arms of a human and tail of a snake with scaly skin and a forked tongue. No one knew quite where these creatures came from but one thing was certain, they were servants of Slaanesh. Some believe they were once Lizardmen, now aligned to Chaos and gifted the chance of a 2nd life by a Chaos God. Others believe they were once human explorers that were twisted by the designs of Chaos. While some believe they are just the result of snakes huge exposure to Warpstone that have since pledged allegiance to Slaanesh. The Snakemen learned of the game when still in its infancy. Through their great Warp Portal they picked up transmissions from the NBC and watched as races from all over Amorica and The Old World participated in the sport. Their interest peaked one day watching The Chaos All Stars slaughtering some hapless elves and they created their first team. SSSchHit V'gghUYth. They made their way north out of the Jungle and on the outskirts of the Hinterlands came across a Skaven team and the rest is history. Location The Hinterlands of Khuresh are filled with dense tropical jungle where no man dare enter. It is said that the plants are living and big enough to devour a man whole, the earth is poisoned by warpstone and the very air you breath is noxious. Only a few creatures are capable of living in such an inhospitable environment; the Skaven who are drawn to the warpstone, Forest Goblins who are small, nimble and immune to the poisons of the Jungle. Herds of Beastmen and small tribes of Lizardmen have set up camps on the outskirts of the Jungles even they dare not venture too deep in to the undergrowth. Right in the centre of the Jungle lies a great temple created by The Old Ones. Deep within lies a Warp Portal which The Old Ones used to travel through dimensions. It is a place that has endless supplies of Warpstone, a black, extremely powerful and dangerous mineral that Skaven treasure and use with deadly efficiency. Seasons Year Three, Spring - Ind, Lumbria & Khuresh 1st place. Prestige Points Earned: +14 (and +2 Achiev.) (2-1-0) PREDICTATRON is up and running! we get 28% of votes to win the Regionals this season (7 votes). Let's check commentary on our division by CabalVision crew QUINGIN TONEC (The halfling Quingin Tonec, former scout of the imperial army. After retiring with questionable honors as his infiltration tactics of enemy public houses weren't welcome with his superiors he's now out and about to talk smash, dash and potato mash!) and NIGEL LIKELY (formerly "Nasty Nigel", was an Albion born Full Back and all around notoriously violent arsehole, even for a Blood Bowl player, and one of the first adherents of the 'through the enemy' school of ball running. When the league his team had taken part in had collapsed in on itself taking most of the teams with it -literally, into the ocean-, a suddenly jobless Nigel turned his worrying eagerness for carnage to the commentary box. Now as a staple of the Airwaves, when he was offered a job to commentate both CIBBL and BIBBL games live and in person, well who'd turn down a job offer like that?) *** NIGEL: Once again, the usual pattern, the team that participated in the highest division gets the lion's share of the votes, and possibly the fact that they have won this division twice already. QUINGIN: And who can fault them for it? The rampage even tied the Djinn at 2-2 in their Silver division this autumn. NIGEL: A not disregardable contingent is voting in favour of the Oxyl Great Pyramid Heroes, any comment on this Quingin?. QUINGIN: It depends, can they make their opponents want to get away from them? Then the snkaes are golden. NIGEL: The Pyramid Heroes had a rough season only because their strengths of being a team that can tie up and beat down their opponents, doesn't count for much when said opponents will just fight back and beat the stuffing out of you. QUINGIN: They don't bring speed and they don't bring too much strength apart from the Constrictors. NIGEL: They shared their division in Bronze with a lot of the nastier middling to high tier TV bash teams in the league, this time however, the ball might be more in their court. QUINGIN: I can see their ability to tie down the sides without getting knocked out of bounds will make it easier for them to zone the field with the aid of their tails. As long as their line holds this will make up for their sub-optimal speed guaranteed. Year Two, Autumn - Bronze Division 6th place. Prestige Points Earned: +3 (and +0 Achiev.) (1-0-5) Oluf Halfleg predictions were spotless except for we didn't ruin anyone's party...sad tournament again. Oluf Halfleg predictions: "I'm not gonna lie, I think Bronze might be the worst case scenario for the snakemen, as their unique qualities tend to shine against teams that like to move around more than hitting, and taking a lot of hits to the face isn't exactly a strong point of the cold blooded beastmen. They are, however, a notoriously slippery team, and they have more than one trick up their sleeve. At the end of the day, can they ruin the party for everybody else?" Year Two, Summer – Conjoined Blue Eagle I 2nd place. Prestige Points Earned: +16 (and +0 Achiev.) (3-1-1) Over 50% of casualties against are deads or permenent injuries. Seems to be really difficult to keep snakes healthy!. 3 wins out of 5 games and 1 only loss is the best result in this team history...however, rivals were far from tier1 races so...nothing to get too optimistic with. Year Two, Spring - Ind, Lumbria & Khuresh 3rd place. Prestige Points Earned: +5 (and +1 Achiev.) (0-2-1) Snakes threaten to fire coach sonrises. Team is not clicking yet. Coach seemed to give up on snakes and close to accept an offer from Deamons teams. Sonrises changes his mind and decides to stick around a bit longer. Did Ouszz and Pipa Swer improvement have something to do with coach decision to stay? Probably yes. Year One, Autumn - Copper Division 5th place. Prestige Points Earned: +5 (and +0 Achiev.) (1-2-2) Team is difficult to coach. Too slow and missing relevant starting skills. We file a pledge to CIBBL Headquartters asking for a roster revision...we are granted some minors adjustments which it is an improvement. On the field...mediocrity so far.
