Bark O'Bammer was a young dryad, living on a black mountain side in Athel Loren. He had good times,
bad times - but most of the time he was dazed and confused, standin on a small glade having the sun
shine upon him. One night, as the stars ahead shone clear and bright he had a dream: A lovely voice
said: "Bark, your time is gonna come now! You will travel the Old World and see what is and what
should never be." But Bark did not want to leave his glade, where the sun shone bright and the rain
was sweet. But the voice spoke to him again: "How many more times do I have to tell ya? Get up and
get out! NOW!"

As he woke up the next morning Bark O'Bammer had made up his mind. He saw his girl for the last time
for a long time and told her: "Babe, I'm gonna leave you. When I return I'll bring you a whole lotta love."
His girlfriend stood there astonished and couldn't say more than: "Thank you for your love, Bark. This will
be the first time I wake up without you since I've been loving you. Thank you for the wonderful time and
take with you all my love. When you come back we'll have a big celebration day." With this she waived
him good bye.

And Bark left his wood, he went over the hills and far away, walked through the lands of men and other
creatures and even came down by the seaside and saw the ocean. He was further away from his home
than any of his friends had ever been. He learned what other peoples thoughts of his kind, and got angry
about them not knowing what a wonderful race the dryads were. This made him sick again. "Get out of
my sight, run for your live before you get trampled under foot!"

He thought long about it, realy long. After ten years gone of wandering the Old World he had an idea: He
would go back to his glade, gather all his friends and form them into a Blood Bowl team! Their natural
strength and skills would make it easy for them to win and thus would teach all those lesser races the
respect that dryads deserve. "That's the way to go!", he said to himself. The next morning, when the sun
rose and he stood in the light, his heart went light and he started on his long way home.

The last day of his journey, when he already was back in Athel Loren, the clear rain fell upon him and he
hummed the rain song, feeling a bit like a fool in the rain. He arrived in the evening and immediately
spread word that he needed all his friends for something new. His friends came and asked: "Hey, hey,
what can I do?" And as his friends had gathered he unveiled his plans to them. "They know nothing about
us, and we can't let them ignorant like they are. We will play them on the Blood Bowl field, and when
the levee breaks we will come like a flood upon them! WE WILL MAKE ATHEL LOREN GREAT AGAIN!
And if we don't succeed in that it is nobody's fault but mine."

And with that the Athel Loren Red Saplings were founded, eager to show the rest of the Old World the
rage and might of Athel Loren's dryads.
