Owner: Purgatron Blood-Eye Head Coach: Masur the hunchback Race: Fimir Team Colours: Major: dark green Minor: black Cursed Marshes Bog Fiends Ages ago daemon-worshiping fiends, known as the Fimir, established themselves in the territory of the city known today as Marienburg. Throughout history, these creatures were feared by peasants and townsfolk of the surrounding area. Nightly raids on hamlets and villages for gold and slaves were not unheard of. As the rumours go, the poor wretches snatched away during these occasions were sacrificed and offered to dark and obscure gods. But times changed and civilization came to the lands of mankind. The numbers of the Fimir dwindled and they retreated to the marshes east of Marienburg. According to some believes, the bog fiends still live there today. Even more surprising, realizing they are no longer a match for a well-trained human garrison, the Fimir's leaders decided to pick up a new trade. Stories of a bizarre sport practiced in Marienburg filtered through and eventually Purgatron Blood-Eye, one of the ancient war leaders, decided to recruit a vile thug known as Masur the hunchback. He would train his strongest warriors in this new sport known as bloodbowl and so the Cursed Marshes Bog Fiends were born...
