The Quarryville Quarrymen have an interesting story. Quarryville, Pa a small town of 2000 built around a stone quarry in East Drumore Township. East Drumore is a dry township.The quarry owner Swamp John Groff hires the best miners in the area - a group of dwarves. The town needs some cheap laborer. They hire a tribe of hobgoblins. Fast forward a few years, John shows up at the quarry to find a lake. What happens? The dwarves start drinking (hard to do in a dry township) and busting up the town. Swamp John has no income. What to do? Let’s start a blood bowl team. The dwarves form the core of the team. The hobgoblins the support staff. To make money the hobgoblins are named for the sponsors.
