In the far north of the Southern Wastes, only the most disciplined and resourceful can surive. Or if you're not disciplined and resourceful, you can steal a chainsaw and an old pogo stick from somebody's shed, a big ball of metal and some chain from a scrapyard, and take what you need from the disciplined and resourceful. Living close to The Equator (a menagerie lion running around the earth) has left most of the Scoundrels in a near-constant state of hysteric fear. Their only solace has been their captive Halfling Chef, Toastmaster Crumblepuff, who has kept their bellies full all winter. And if they're careful, he might last a few more meals... There is something a little bit fishy about the Scoundrels, although only the most unkind would suggest that's because their stadium, the Theatre of Breams, is just a disused fish factory. No proper person would say such a horrible thing, now would they? Like many Stunty teams, the Scoundrels don't get awarded many trophies, so they make their own ones up and put them here. Don't Let The Door Hit You On The Way Out Aware For Shortest Career: Vegemite Disaster, killed in the Scoundrels' very first match. SWL LXXIII After playing 6 games in their inaugural season, failed to achieve anything spectacular apart from Most fouls (24) SWL LXXIV Most fouls (64) Most kills (6) Sadly, no players qualified for anything special in the season... SWL LXXV A great season for the Scoundrels. Not only did they claim their first draw, they saw the following trophies: Most Blocks (65): Manshape Gutwart Most Casualties (9): Manshape Gutwart Most Fouls (23): Pinkeye Growthspurt SWL LXXVI ... and things just got better and better for the Scoundrels. Two victories (including the time Nuffle blessed them with a pitch clear against some dark elves) and a late forfeit by a rival meant they missed the wooden spoon for the first time. Maybe it's time to start talking about a dynasty. The team are now reliably threatening to the health of other players: Most fouls (68) Most casualties (20) Most kills (5) Highest block:casualty ratio (14.7). In addition, the following trophies: Most Heart (114 turns): Manshape Gutwart Most Casualties (6): Manshape Gutwart Most Fouls (29): Pinkeye Growthspurt SWL LXXVII Most fouls (32) Most Fouls (17): Pinkeye Growthspurt Most Blocks (61): Manshape Gutwart SWL LXXVIII Most fouls (45) Most Fouls (28): Pinkeye Growthspurt SWL LXXIX Most fouls (32) - weak sauce for the Scoundrels Most Fouls (16): Pinkeye Growthspurt. A barren season for the Scoundrels. Was the rot finally setting in? SWL LXXX In the farewell season for the Scoundrels, the team suffered some horrible injuries, feeling that with the stuffing knocked out of the diminutive little green lads, and other stunties ascending to the glories of the Conferences much quicker, that it was best to quit while not too much further behind. Most fouls (56) Most casualties (19) - joint first with Vermintide and Big Boys Don't Block Most Fouls (20): Pinkeye Growthspurt 8 cas - Manshape Gutwart Manshape got the All-Star scroll he deserved at last. SWL LXXXIII A shocking come back for the Scoundrels, as players who really wanted to retire were set out again to cause fights and start trouble. This turned out to be the best season ever for the Scoundrels, winning two matches, drawing a third and not coming bottom. Sadly, the comeback tour didn't lead to the Conferences as they'd hoped, but just to another comeback tour in SWL LXXXIV... 39 fouls to win the Regional team prize, the lowest number of fouls they've ever done in one season. Must have been out of practice, I guess. SWL LXXXVI A shortened season for the Scoundrels gave them less opportunities to foul, but in six matches as fillers they still lead the division with 37 fouls. Fraulein Wird Nicht Aufhören zu Hüpfen Most Fouls (17): Pinkeye Growthspurt
In their first season (SWL Regionals LXXIII), despite only playing five matches, the Scoundrels topped the division for fouls, averaging almost five per game. (They let themselves down somewhat by failing to foul their fellow arborists in their last game of the season.) The team record for fouls in one game is 13, playing against the Murine Cultists. In that game they badly hurt 3 and killed one elf, representing a 31% foul-to-casualty ratio. This record was broken two matches later, when the Scoundrels almost had a perfect record, finishing with 14 fouls against the Denizens of the Dreamlands, although that was less productive (2 players badly hurt and a minotaur left with a damaged back that will hopefully cause him trouble for years to come). The undoubted star of the team, Manshape Gutwart, often threatening to go pro for another team, but unable to quit the Scoundrels: Manshape Gutwart Troll MA ST AG AV G 4 5 1 9 50 R B P F Spp 0 408 -1 1 105 Cp Td In Cas Mvp 0 0 0 40 5 Injuries Broken Neck Skills Mighty Blow, Always Hungry, Loner, Really Stupid, Regeneration, Throw Team-Mate, Guard, Block, Pro, Thick Skull, Break Tackle Before her untimely death, Mrs Legneck was the most decorated Pogoer ever in the SWL. The team offers a full medical plan to all players, providing by the It Won't Stop Hurting If You Don't Get Better School of Medicine. The team has promised to never drop any players due to injury. Death, for now, has only be the escape of a very few... Misebehaviour during the off-season is of course punished as harshly as possible. A failure to injure enough players in SWL LXXIII led to a budget shortfall for the team, and as a result they had to sack 60% of their cheerleaders. Which should have lead to an increase in team morale going forward. Later accounting irregularities meant the Scoundrels were able to afford to keep most of their players. (Most of the starting team were then sacked or resigned anyway, "to keep 'em fresh") In SWL LXXV, Pinkeye Growthspurt fouled 23 times (that's just one less foul than the entire team managed when they won the award for the most fouls in their inaugural season, SWL LXXIII) and won the coveted Bronze Boot.
