Prospero was the Merchant Prince of Tobaro until his brother Antonio, conspiring with rival states, usurped his position. Kidnapped and left to die on a raft at sea, Prospero survived because a former student left him supplies and Prospero’s books, which are the source of his magic and power.

Prospero arrived on the island where he remained for twelve years honing his powers and spells, but also becoming bored.

Eager to get back at his brother through his favourite game of Blood Bowl, Prospero conjured Tempests and wrecked numerous ships sailing the Tilean Sea. Any survivors that made it to his island were fed and trained and joined the ranks of the Tobaro Tempest.
