The young Orc fled across the field, the pounding of his heart outpacing the rumble of hooves behind. Without looking he knew the Reaver Knights were closing, he ran faster and faster, desperatly trying to reach the forest line ahead. Its thick canopy would offer him darkness and darkness would grant his escape. An arrow pierced his shoulder, he stumbled but did not fall, the agony came quickly, a tearing followed by a sharp raking pain. Aggravated by each painful stride, he forced his body onwards to the relative safty of the undergrowth. The small greenskin ducked under the low hanging branches and sprinted left, then right in an effort to out smart his rapid pursuers. The Elves came crashing through the woods, their voices had changed now. Their excitement had gone, he did not understand their alien tongue but he knew the sound of frustration. Their quarry was escaping and with it their fun. Foul creatures, they took pleasure from his fear. They enjoyed murdering his clan and destroying the only home he'd ever known. Visions of his closest friends perishing to Elven sword and bow filled his mind. He vowed to slaughter every Elf in the Old World, not now though survival was priority, vengeance would come later. A low grumble pipped his attention from deep within the forest. The young Orc bounded from the tempory shelter, his powerful legs thundered into the ground like the twin pistons of an Empire steam tank. He set off towards the noise. The Elves yellled screams of delight and gave pursuit on foot, having tethered their horses in the field.
The young Orc ran as fast as his crooked legs could manage towards the strange rumbling in the vain hope it would scare off his vile followers. Just ahead a shower of splintered wood and leaves erupted and the most terrifying creature the small Orc had ever seen burst into view. Its eyes met his own, a brief glimmer of compassion crossed its face. It raised its enormous yellow eyed head to the skies and bellowed 'Dimbelly angry!!'. The great blue beast was easily 9 feet tall. From its ripped ears hung countless rings and chains. The muscles on its legs bunched, it sprung into motion and shambled forward towards the Orc and pursuing elves, bellowing and waving its fearsome axe. The Orc shielded his head and eyes. Never had he been so afraid. The ground shook as the monster raced by. It smashed into the elven line. One warrior was dragged from his feet and smashed against a tree. Throwing aside their bows, the Elves drew their long swords and encircled the beast. Dimbelly hefted the cruel axe as the first of the elves rushed into the fray, the axe sliced through the elves weak skull. As it fell Dimbelly wrenched the cruel weapon clear and swung it in a murderous arc that clove through the ribcage of the second Elf. A sword lanced into the trolls side. The great beast roared in defiance and fell upon the attacker, crushing the very life from his body. The Elves were beginning to gain the advantage, blade after blade plunged into the dying creatures heavilly muscled back. Dimbelly leaped to his feet and clamped his great jaws around a screaming Elves head. The beasts enormous dagger like teeth crunched once, slicing through sinew and bone before severing the head and swallowing it whole. Finally even the trolls mighty strength began to fade, it stumbled once then fell to the floor. The two remaining Elves wiped the blood from their weapons and turned on the cowering Orc. They began to close the distance. Fear swiftly returned to the jubilant Orc. Armed with only a broken branch of oak he didn't fancy his chances against these cold methodical killers. The great beast stirred then began to rise, blood was flowing fast from the wounds to its back. The Orc blinked and wiped his eyes, the wounds were sealing fast! Never had the small greenskin seen such a thing, he was beginning to like Dimbelly immensely. The creatures huge hand closed around a dead Elf and lifted it limply to the air. The headless corpse was drew back and launched through the sky. It toppled in the air and landed heavilly on the Elven pair, snapping the back of one and winding his comrade. Dimbelly pointed at the fallen Elf 'Wun for you'. The weary Orc didn't need second encouragement, he leapt on the terrified Elf like a rabid dog. The oak club rose and fell time and again, brains splattered the ground in a bloody pulp but still the Orc thrashed.
Dimbelly lumbered over and clamped his hand on the small Orcs shoulder 'You got da look of a blitzer' he said 'wanna play bloodbowl wiv da Bloodteef Tribe?'
Vorag Manripper smiled up at the Troll.
