<table width=90%><tr><td>The Duskriders rose from the obscurity of 'The Pool' in SWL Season IX after being promoted to the regional league mid-season.</td></tr><tr><td><B>Season X</B> The Duskriders were in with a chance of promotion at seasons end. An unfortunate lapse on the part of the management resulted in their forfeiting their last game and with it, their hopes of greater glory.</td></tr> <tr><td><B>Season XI</B> Winners of Mr Whippy's Donut Emporium League with a 6/0/1 record they are promoted to the Conference! </td> </tr><tr><td><B>Season XII</B> In a conference dominated by hard-nosed, punishing teams, the Duskriders nevertheless managed to go undefeated until the last round. Heading into round 6 the team was in good shape but suffered significant casualties in it's win over the Khemrian team, Gumbeast United. Despite the subsequent round 7 loss, the Duskriders finish in a three way tie at the top of the table and take out the conference title on a countback. On to the Premiership !</td></tr><tr><td><B>Season XIII</B> What an inglorius season! Finishing second last with a 1/2/4 record in a Premiership field that included 4 dwarf teams. With only 12 players going in, 3 of whom were carrying niggles, the Riders were not really competitive as they were constantly at the wrong end of the casualty count ( 1/1/2 vs 12/2/4). We ended the season with just 10, still including 3 niggles and look forward hopefully to a period of rebuilding in the conferences. </td></tr><tr><td><B>Season XIV</B> Expecting a period of rebuilding the Riders actually over-performed, managing to secure a return visit to the Premier Division as the best second place-getter over the three conferences. With a 5/1/1 record, the loss being to the eventual Conference winners, we actually managed to stay out of harms way for once and dished out more casualties than we took. With some reasonable winnings we go into Premiership XV with a rebuilt squad and renewed confidence that we might avoid an immediate relegation. Whether our first Hall of Famer, Ebony Shadowfriend, makes the trip is yet to be seen.</td></tr><tr><td><B>Season XV</B> The Riders get to stay in Premier for another try but probably not the way they would have wished. In a season decimated by forfeits the Riders 4/0/3 record is flattered by 2 wins by forfeit. In probably the least bashy lineup for years, the Riders faced CD's and Orc's first up, pulling out wins in both games but then couldn't manage wins against the agile teams. Most sad of all they were outbashed by We Fink We're Orks (zons) and lost star Demonette Nightshade, 1 spp short of entering the SWL Hall of Fame, to a crowd push. Losing two other players in their debut matches hasn't done anything for the strength of the roster and Season XVI looks like another struggle for survival </td></tr><tr><td><B>Season XVI</B> Another try at Premier, the riders stay up courtesy of a 4/0/3 record but it was awfully close to relegation. A mixed season with some great results, notably a win over KFC but in their last game, needing a win to guarantee they stayed up, the Duskriders put in arguably their worst performance of the season and had to depend on the Adpets beating the German Vermin to stay in the top flight. The roster is healthier than ever in terms of numbers but is light on skills. Duskwind Strongarm takes the Golden Arrow and Golden Boomerang for the second season running and enters the Hall of Fame.</td></tr><tr><td><B>Season XVII</B> On their fifth attempt the Duskriders are <B> C H A M P I O N S ! </B> A 4/3/0 record (one by forfeit) was good enough to lift the trophy by a single point. </td></tr> </table> |
