P [L] Wreckers

--== TEAM HISTORY ==--

With the creation of the DLE, chairman and merchant prince Quintiliano Guida decided that Monte Castello would be the perfect place for a Blood Bowl franchise. Being situated in the bay of wrecks it seemed only fitting that the team would be called the Wreckers

A large port town with plenty of trade custom, there were no shortage of people both wanting to both spectate and participate in one of the biggest up and coming leagues in the old world. This led to the Wrecker's having an eclectic mix of rookie players hailing from all corners of the world. Due to this mix of people the Wrecker's have a habit of picking up players with astonishing potential.

Season one turned out to be a disappointing one for the Wrecker's. Coming in with arguably one of the strongest teams in the league the Wrecker's had a slow start before a blistering second half of the season saw them on the cusp of a playoff spot. Unfortunately in their last game of the season they lost in a one sided contest where the Wrecker's suffered 9 casualties. This meant the Wrecker's missed out on a play off spot and were also heading in to season 2 with 3 players missing the opening game.

Season two started off disastrously with the Wrecker's only picking up 1 win in their first 4 games then on game 5 coach Hoodless called the game off midway through and stormed off then giving a scathing post match interview that threatened serious repercussions. Coach Hoodless quickly apologised for the incident but action had to be taken. The Wrecker's were stripped of a season 2 pick and Aaron Donald announced he was no longer playing under coach Hoodless. This seemed to be the catalyst that the team needed as they went 6/1/2 for the rest of the season but were pipped to the divisional title by rivals the Brionne Buccaneers after the Wrecker's lost their last game of the season. The Wrecker's did make it to the playoffs through a wildcard but were paired up against the Buccaneers again who continued their run of beating the Wrecker's and that ended season 2.

During season 8 the Wreckers fight as a brave team to almost reach the POs. At the end, the team did not reach it by a minimum separation but it finished as one of the teams with less casualties taken (31), the team with less TV lost (70K), and the third with more total player turns on field (2572).

Also, the team counted some of the best player performances on the league: Top Blocker of the league: Jerrey Riggs (186); Top Crowd Favourite: Martino Sueira (6); 2nd Most Spp/turn: Kevin White (0,429); 5th Dirtiest Player of the league: D.J.Alexander (33)

--== Playstyle ==--

The Wrecker's have a distinctive playstyle. They want to get up close and personal! A combination of strength, teamwork and aggression mean that the Wrecker's regularly look to dominate their opponents. That's not to say they are a 1 trick pony with the Wrecker's capable of playing a running and passing game and are also able to pull out special plays to trick the opposition.

--== Jadeveon Clowney ==--

Clowney came to the Wrecker's upon a wave of excitement. Quite how the Wrecker's had landed such a prestigious player so late in the first round of the draft was beyond even the comprehension of nuffle. A strong well built man who prides himself at being agile despite his size and a good team player being able to lend a hand wherever he is.
Since being drafted Clowney has been an integral part of the team and even stuck with the team after the 'Ragegate' scandal when fellow star Aaron Donald left.
Interest has been high in Clowney ever since he was drafted to the Wrecker's but every enquiry thus far has been rebuffed with the chairman stating it would take an extraordinary offer to see Clowney leave the Wrecker's.

After season 8, he is one of the few first generation DLE players that continues on the field. That has become a race between them to see wich is the last that stays alive and playing.

Finally CLowney, #13 of the very first draft and main player of the team, passed away against Universe (https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4128177) during season 9 in the first game after SoS games. He completed (and not) a total of 12+61+42(+1) games with the Wreckers. Wreckers will remember you!

--== Jerrey Riggs ==--

Riggs came to the DLE during season 5. Very soon he demonstrated that he came to learn and to improve his skills. At the end of season 8 he was the player with more blocks during the regular phase:

1.Jerrey Riggs, Wreckers (186)
2.Najee Goode, Crimson Cascade (164)
3.Khalil Mack, Classics (155)

At the end of season 9 he was again the player with more blocks during the regular phase:
1.Jerrey Riggs, Wreckers (178)
2.Najee Goode, Crimson Cascade (169)
3.Christine Michael, Knights (164)

He also obtained the Dietmar Althoff Silver Medal, and nowadays is the blitz leader of the Wreckers!!

Jerrey Riggs become a legend in the last game of the regular season 9. To reach that, he did 3 casualties against -Carroburg Crimson Cascade- (https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4205171).
