2005-02-23: Windrusher inflicted the team's 100th cas when seriously injuring a witch elf of the Soul Elfs in an incredibly lucky match when it comes to armour and injury rolls: the Lightnings inflicted a total of 6 cas - more than ever before in a single match - and suffered none. On top of it all a seventh soul elf was badly hurt trying to gfi...
2005-03-14: In a particularly bloody game (the Lightnings suffered 1 bh, 4 si and 1 confirmed r.i.p.) against the Necromantic team Almost Dead Guys, Windrusher scored the team's most heroic touchdown so far. With only four teammates left on the pitch against the full bunch of zombies and wights and whatnot, he leaped out of the 9 man pack trying to crowd him, tackled and knocked out the ballcarrying ghoul, and scored the final touchdown, sealing the result at 6-1 for the Lightnings. Windrusher's achievements during this match took him above 50 spp, luckily without ageing.

Reaching Star status in only 9 games, Lightfoot is rocketing her way towards fame and fortune. The main reason behind her success is that she's been the only catcher on the team for quite a while because we never seem to be able to afford new ones. Lightfoot is fast, but not quite fast enough to be a pure one-turn scorer, which is in line with our policy not to have one-turners on the team.
A vicious dark elf reduced Lightfoot's strength to 1. But as muscle power never was her cup of tea anyway she decided to go on playing. This was a good thing, because on her fifth skill she discovered some hidden wrath within. "I'll get those filthy treehuggers!" was her comment when asked about her new dauntlessness.
2005-03-18: Scored the Lightnings' 300th touchdown in an otherwise lousy game against the Athel Loren Guardians.
After a policy change the coach told Lightfoot to work a little more on her speed. We've noticed that it's a lot harder to win games at tr 300+, and a one-turner may be handy in critical situations. Unfortunately the intensive training left Lightfoot with a niggle. She'll go on, however, until she becomes a legend or is killed, whichever comes first.

Hillskipper, with his swift moves, acts as the team's wannabe-catcher. This means quite a lot of work, since the real catchers are known for being KO:d, injured or dead most of the time.

Wearing the same number as his late brother Earthstepper the Halfbreed, Earthwalker has chosen to tread the same path of destruction and violence. Earthwalker's goal is to avenge his brother by causing at least twice as many cas as he did before he was killed by a vicious dark elf.
Scored the Lightnings' 200th touchdown in a game against Bane of Blood.

Clouddancer is the only remaining original Lightning, and the second team member ever to reach 51 spp:s without getting an ageing niggle. He is a real work horse who seldom gets to experience the glory of scoring. Instead, Clouddancer does a lot of dirty work - blocking and guarding and just generally being in the way of the opponents. So far he's been very succesful at this, and he's even been competing with our treeman Prancer for most inflicted casualties. After he worked up he's strength, Clouddancer's future as team bully looks even brighter!
2005-03-14: Having hogged way more than his fair share of MVP:s throughout his entire career, Clouddancer finally aged at 126 spp. He's currently at a tied 1st place for most valuable player of all woodies on fumbbl, and he has also made it to the top ten of active woodie line-elf stars as well as blockers. Clouddancer is very close to becoming the brightest star ever of the Leaping Lightnings, and as the coach is currently aiming to produce the team's first legend Clouddancer will stay on the roster despite the niggle.
