Keeper of Dragnipur, which he took from Draconus (whom he then killed); son of Mother Dark and ruler of the Tiste Andii; is feared by many; soletaken form is a large, black dragon; friend of Caladan Brood's.

History: A citizen of the human First Empire, Trake was transformed into a Soletaken tiger during the ritual. He survived the attacks of the T'lan Imass, and escaped to the continent of Genabackis. Trake ascended to join the ranks of the First Heroes, but veered into his bestial form for thousands of years, gradually forgetting his human self, revelling in battle and the hunt.

In his supreme arrogance, Trake attacked four K'Chain Che'Malle hunters, almost killing one before suffering mortal wounds. He regained his human memories, and survived long enough to witness the destruction of the K'Chain Che'Malle at the hands of Kilava Onass, and to speak with her. When Trake's mortal body died, his spirit ascended under the influence of K'rul. Trake became the new God of War, replacing the recently-fallen Fener.

Description: An imposing figure with a burn marred jaw and left cheek. Numerous scars are upon his hands and forearms. Wears a visored helm and a rust stained, tattered chain hauberk of which the missing and torn links are stitched up with leather. Carries a longsword with plain leather grip and stub hilt, in a hide over wood scabbard, which he found after his very first battle.

Warren:

Personality: A grizzled veteran who so inspires the soldiers in his command it is said they would follow him into the abyss. A hardened and respected officer, he does not hesitate to challenge commands if he finds reason to do so.

About Him/Her: Apprenticed to be a stonemason in his fathers quarry until joining the Malaz army and working his way quickly through the ranks. He is a superb swordsman who used to spar with Dassem Ultor, and it'd take a while for Dassem to get past his guard. Fought alongside the Moranth known as Twist in the streets of Nathilog, earning the respect of the Moranth to whom he is known as bird that steals. Broken down to Sergeant by Empress Lasseen upon her usurpation of the Malazan Empire, as she feared him leading a rebellion against her.

More about Him/Her: Led the Bridgeburners from their very beginnings at Raraku, through the siege of Pale on Genebackis, till the 2nd army's outlawing after the attempt on Darujhistan(during this his leg was broken). After which he was in joint command of the outlawed army for the alliance with Caladan Broods forces against the Pannion Domin. Met and fell in love with the Tiste Andii soletaken known as Korlat and gained the friendship of Anomander Rake. He was planning to retire after this campaign but unfortunately fell at the siege of Coral to the traitorous Kallor, in the defence of Silverfox when his improperly mended leg rebroke in the duel. His body is now interred alongside the rest of the Bridgeburners who died at Coral, within the ancient fortress Moons Spawn.
