A slightly less than heroic death, this sad geezer just tripped down the stairs and broke his neck. By coincidence, he tripped on Krell's outstretched leg. There is a rumor about that Krell needed a few more players, but most dismiss this. He's much too nice to do something like that. (Okay, I said it, now put down the knif-aaaargh..)
Harry was a very poor man. But Harry was very creative when it came to moving things. Especially things other people owned. Moving them into his own pockets too much soon attracted the attention of the Law, though. And even though its arm isn't all that long, it was plenty long enough to loop the noose around Harry's neck. What do ya know, another player for the BloodBowl team.
Well, if you work with corpses, you usually need to remove stuff from them. One day when Krell was taking a nap in a ditch in the local park, the priests of Morr mistook him for dead. Later when he woke up, he found this sod trying to saw through his ribs. He gavce him a very good demonstration of how it -should- be done. And had a snack.
Billy Poe, better known as "Plague Boy" in the team, was the unfortunate victim of a plague. (Bet you couldn't guess that, eh?). And so, when a certain coach was a-wandering, he came upon this strapping young lad with a serious boil problem. Realizing it was something more than just the "teen years doing stuff to his body", he recruited the corpse instead of offering him a (much needed) pustulent boil removal lotion.
Nils No-life was formerly known as Nils Low-life, on account of being a street peddler. When a sudden chill killed off most of the hobo population (in mid summer, oddly enough.) Krell found a promising player for his team. And gave him a more suiting name.
Working alongside Vincent the night they brought Krell in, he proved to be a nice snack as well. And a new player, of course.
Gerald Ground worked as a peddler, selling meat. One day, a Minotaur caught a whiff of the goods, and proceeded to go on a rampage, thinking Gerald had ground up one of his relatives. When Krell patched him back up (after a few months), he became a new player in Krell's team.
